Yep, it reduces the shield significantly which makes the fight a loooot shorter.

You only agitate the swarm if you let them fly through you. If you avoid that by always moving away from them, they will never agitate unless the goid enrages because you took to long to destroy a heart.

@@KallmeMatt yup, you're missing something because I recently got this working... Did you replace the .PS file in the correct location?

@@vengefire Well I think so. I replaced it in the elite-dangerous-64/shaderfixes folder (where there's the file I need to replace).

@@vengefire yea, although its not always the build who do the trick. youre a gifted player, very good with fa off.

@@Gspot8381 Sure, this is what I used for this particular kill : is.gd/8xe9O9 When I started, I only used FA Off for boost turns. I'm not gifted, I just practised loads with FA Off :-) Anybody can do it given time and a bit of dedication!

@@old-fashioned1492 it takes a little trial and failure, but in a chieftain you basically just make sure you're always thrusting away from the swarm so they're chasing you with horizontal and vertical thrust. If they're getting too close for comfort, boost away with vertical and horizontal thrust opposite their direction. I think I may have a video with thrust overlays that's flakless, I'll check 😁

It's a fully engineered chieftain, not a cutter. I hate the cutter so much exactly because I can't do the reverse flips on a dime at 560 m/s 😁

You are welcome bud, very glad it's somewhat helpful. It's is annoying having to work around bugs like this, but at least we can work around it I suppose. There is no telling when, or if, this specific bug will be fixed, but we can remain hopeful.
