Front Page Detective - Alibi for suicide (1951) An old classic TV Show I have this from archive.org
These "Front Page Detective" shows are always good for a laugh. Bad acting, ludicrous actions, lame dialogue... it's all there. When Chase realized the guy was innocent why didn't he just point out the evidence to the cop. No... he lets the guy be chased by the police all night long. The girl trying to take the envelope right in front of everybody... the guy escaping out the window... 60 year old Lowe and 25 year old Drew...Yikes!
This show is excellent. I enjoyed it 🎉
This chain smoking man is so repulsive 🤢
6:53Nice teeth. 8:36$10,000 in 1951 would be $121,270 as of 28OCT2024.🤑💲
I knew this was going to be a good episode when I saw that Theobold Holsopple was the art director.🙄
Great simple entertainment. Love it Rocky
Very corney
Thank you!!
Fyi: screen spelling of Murder..is spelled Muder..story is great! Thanks
... This could Double as a Radio Drama... Head Down, Lug-Holes Open and Eyes Closed... ROLL ON DARK-TIME... 🕛 3:41
great
Joe Blake. Snake.
Thank you for the introduction, to a little known, TV detective show. Wowsers , it's even got a pre- 'Three Stooges', and even pre- 'The Abbott and Costello Show', Joe Besser in it😁👍. Listen to the phrase @06:20. Something you definitely WOULDN'T hear, today😏.
JOE BESSER! Gotta love Stinky!
Dissapointmmwnts
Good LORD the acting in this episode was ATROCIOUS !
The apt. front desk clerk, was he one of the three stooges for a brief time?
Thank you.
I dedicate this particular show to tucker carlson
Im glad I found this! Thank you🎉🎉
You can really see why Moe and Larry called Joe Besser "prissy" right to his face. Easily the worst Stooge, forced on them by the studio when they actually wanted to get Mantan Moreland in when Shemp passed.
Edmund Lowe is 61 years old in this series, born in 1890, proving viagra works. Beautiful girlfriend 😊
I am British and have never come across this show before here in the UK. This was a really enjoyable episode and I look forward to seeing more of this series and have subscribed to your channel. Many thanks.
I first heard these on some Chicago station, late nights, ☕️ when g was in 5th or 6th grade, on every night at 11pm. Listening in the dark with my old cats Oscar and Felix, both sitting on 🐱 my hip, listening too. M
Great series great cast of actors
Great series great cast of actors
This even better than usual!
Did this show originally air on the DuMont Network?
Enjoyed that. This is an odd little series, but I like it
Very entertaining. Thanks
Never heard or seen this tv series before. I love black and white films and tv series. Men looked so suave in their suits and hats. And the women looked so feminine and beautiful. Although a little silly in the comedy section, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you 😊
Much classier back then.
Yes. Even the thugs dressed nicely.
filthy smokers so disgusting and omg his greasy hair imagine his grandaughter gf running her hands through that mess
If you don't like it don't watch. Your cultural superiority shows your own narcissism.
@@michaelbabbitt3837great rebuttal, I agree with you Pal 😊
Lowe remained star material, even tranistioning to television. Cheers. The scripots were not so good.
Good show! Very entertaining!
This man wanted his wife dead, he should have been given a good time away in jail.
Why in the hell would a woman be in love with the likes of a stone-cold loser like that homely fool! This guy Lawton eats cigarettes like they were candy!
His wife died just the night before and all he basically says is "good riddance." No one else gives it much thought either. I think the Prime Suspect was miscast. They seemed to want him breezy and irresponsible. As it is, he's snappish, without empathy, and...too uncharismatic and too old for the character to be sympathetic.
great
great
Never heard of the 'highlands of New York". What kind of name is Dorabelle? Looks like 51700 people on here had parents who neglected to teach them to say thanksalot. Takes a nanosecond to click thumbs up, but nooooo.
Im really enjoying these Front Page Detective Shows. I never knew they existed? So thank you so much for uploading them. I dont watch TV anymore, just search around TH-cam for gems like these. And the Actors I'm just getting acquainted with.
I was not familiar with this show either , unbelivable how many tv detective shows there were made in the 1950s . All in black and white , all gems. 😊
Not only is he burning her table, he’s flicking his ashes on her carpet as well. Jerk.
what a gal
Smoke. Smoke. Smoke that cigarette. There must have been a cloud over Hollywood for years.
Up until the 80s
This is excessive, by any measure.

Love love love it thanks for posting
He got rid of his habit of burning tables with that amount of smoking, I find it surprising
Great radio program
