That is a beautiful truck that is my favorite body style of the Ram
Beautiful truck!
If you ever want to sell it let me know
Yeah, he will. For sure.
Very nice job on the video and the sound
Who did the paint job
I bought it restored like this.
Thanks bro how much you payed if you don’t mind me asking
Are you afraid of the damage your causing to your cvt belt? i'm not sure Polaris is up to the task belt issues.
The worry is always there, however when I plow the atv is always in low gear and 4 wheel drive, so I can push with momentum instead of digging in the tires and giving it a ton of gas.
Bought one a couple years ago for work. Right out of the box it wouldn't hold steady RPMs. It did ok under a load, but still not right. I probably put 30 hours on it or so then it sat around for a while, the warranty was up and I never got it fixed. The next time I went to use it, it started fine, but then gas started leaking out around the carb. It sat for a few months then I got it out to see where the gas was leaking from. This time it didn't leak. Maybe the float was stuck when it was leaking. Still idles rough, surges up and down.
I’ve had this a little over 2 years now. Really the only complaint would be that now after sitting it takes at least 10 pulls to start. I do run the carb out of gas before i put it away because I never know when I’m going to need it next, and I’d rather not have fuel staying in it. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate the feedback.
I cleaned the fuel tank out and found a little sediment in there. Removed the carb and cleaned it. The bowl had a little varnishing going on in it. The pilot jet seemed like it might have been dirty. Cleaned everything and was feeling good about it. Started right up and was running better. Then it started surging again and continued to get worse. It finally died, restarted it, ran rough and died. I'm going to let it cool and try another cold start just to see how it runs cold. Then I'll pull the carb again and clean it again. I'm thinking it might have plugged a jet again.
@@dozer101308 You very well could have a plugged jet, but if the problem continues to persist, if it were me, I would put a new carb in it.
Nice setup
Thanks, it’s homemade so it isn’t the easiest to hook up, but it does the job.
Clear safety glasses under your hood when welding. I learned the hard way.
Good to know, I appreciate the tip. Thanks.
Solar Tip. You can steplessly dim down a bulge and all other hungry electricity consumers with a 5000W dimmer (7, EUR). I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Videos about it on my channel th-cam.com/video/eC2olbCBhh0/w-d-xo.html The inverter stays cool, quiet and the MOSFETs remain intact because extreme current peaks no longer arrive at the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices...
Always wanted one like that. Cool video though.
Saw this sherp in person the other day looks awesome
They are nice looking machines, if you ever get a chance to sit in one they are very cool.
@@sunandsnowonthego8264 yeah it looks really cool, wish I could get the chance
Hope to fly my drone there this summer
Your more than welcome
Very nice welding skills.
I want one of those.
Good vid. I just bought an FC-90 to repair some hand rails. I've been using my Lincoln 140C and my Champion 3500watt inverter gen. The Lincoln weighs too much to carry around so that's where the FC-90 comes in. Given ur Onan 2500i can handle the FC-90 I'm sure it work fine with my gen. Have u found that the FC-90 can weld 18ga without blowing holes through It?
I haven’t tried it on anything that thin yet, but I would have it on low temp, low speed.
After a while if this generator Cummins onan 2500 inverter generator lasts and I don't hear any bad stories about it I'll probably buy one. But one big generator company said the Cummins Onan 2500 was all Chinese made like most of them. I definitely didn't want to hear that. I'm sure even Honda I've already heard is somewhat being made over in China and before long everything will be made in China it's just whether they keep up the quality control or not for some generator lines versus others. But as Americans we get the cheap Chinese knockoffs because we're basically a third world compared to China that makes everything. China does have quality but we mostly don't get it. And most inverter generators 80cc portable ones would work for most weekend campers that don't want to run there rooftop RV air conditioners. And for people just using their generator sometimes for using it everyday off grid just will not cut it I need the very best. I tried the cheap way and now I'll probably be losing money on that new replaced Chinese 80cc generator when I sell it.
I really wanted this generator because it's the most amps in the business at 20 or 21 amps max and only running a 98cc engine. This generator should run a RV rooftop air conditioner and another small appliance or two. So I'm pretty sure it would beat my 2200 watt Honda at 18.3 amps on gasoline. I converted my Honda to dual fuel and I only run propane so it's 10% less power on propane. This Cummins Onan should beat out my Honda 2200 watt inverter generator in amps and starting stuff. Amps are what starts appliances not as much over rated watts they seem to be very overrated especially on these 80cc chinese generators. Most all of these inverter generators are pretty quiet compared to non-inverter generators. I have a few different generators after the Chinese generator burned up I had. I thought the Honda 2200 was quieter than the Cummins Onan but I may be wrong. the Honda 1000 inverter generator is the quietest generator out there I heard. I don't think anything could beat it on quietness. I think Honda is lighter but the biggest thing that really sold me with Honda has longevity, durability and been out there a long time. Don't get me wrong the price of a Honda is extreme. I also have a 700 to 900 watt max baja propane only inverter Chinese generator and it's pretty loud with a 40 cc engine. I know why they choose the Cummins 2500 name to call this generator. because it's the best in the diesel business strong and durable. I have a 2500 Dodge diesel Cummins and it's known for its dependability longevity and less moving parts than the V-8 diesels. Cummins not the fastest but the most dependable and will last the longest tried true and proven. And I've already blown up one cheap Chinese 80cc generator the inverter board stopped working. The engine still run but wouldn't make any electrical power and overload light would just come on each time it started up. Generator 80cc Brand New using it off grid each day it died after 6 months of heavy use. Luckily the store replaced it with a brand new generator but I'm a little concerned about using the same one and killing another inverter Chinese 80cc generator. when I would rather just got my money back from the store but they wouldn't do that. So now the new Chinese generator I'm going to sell or trade it off. I guess I'm from the old school when I buy something I want it to last forever like my 26-year-old and still going strong Coleman pulse 1850 watt non-inverter relatively quiet generator but around 70 pounds.
Yes, a big reason I chose this was reliability, i as well have a 2500 Cummins diesel, and they do last forever
@@sunandsnowonthego8264 How long will it run a portable a/c unit in a van 8000 btu type. Thanks!
@@vantravelswiththeresa3624 it should run a solid 4-5 hours, never Ram anything quite that big, but I’m sure it would last long.
Cool👍
Thank you
Good to know. Thank you for the quick reply
thank u for the test but i sounds loud as heck.... how does it compare to a honda
As far as noise goes it’s more quiet than the Honda, now compared to some other probably not. We bought this for functionality, noise, durability and portability, weight, etc.. for example we reviewed the ryobi inverter, and it was one of the most quiet generators. We did our research and it didn’t have very good reviews. The Cummins onan took home the gold so, as far as noise goes, if you are only looking for noise reduction, I would definitely recommend the ryobi, but for functionality I would recommend the onan. Thanks for commenting and I hope this information helps you out.
The Cummins Onan suitcase inverter generator is the strongest the most amps on the market right now. be careful with the inverter style generators running heat appliances. I've already burned up one and they replaced it it was a 2200 watt dual fuel Inverter suitcase style generator. the yellow overload light just kept coming on and it wouldn't make power while the engine was still running. And I thought the circuit breaker would keep anything from burning up obviously it doesn't on these inverter generators. I was only running a 1.5 amp fan and an electric blanket 144 Watts which is around 1.5 amps also in the winter time around 8 to 9 hours a day for six months. I run it to stay warm on the lowest heat setting on the electric blanket and the inverter 2200 watt generator died. The inverter generator that died was only run on propane never gasoline. On another note My old faithful dependable Coleman 1850 hand portable indestructible generator for over 25 years old will run most anything I need. On gasoline it wouldn't run for 8 through 9 hours overnight on gasoline. But it's not as strong as the Cummins Onan 2600 or the other 2200 watt dual fuel Honda I have now but the weakness of the inverter generators are these inverter boards that burn up from overloading. That is what they told me after I burned up my 2200 watt suitcase portable 80cc Chinese generator. Good luck
Thanks for the information, it’s good to know. Appreciated.
What settings were you at on the welder? Currently have an FC90 and trying to find the smallest welder that can run the welder. Can you run the FC90 at max settings with this generator? Thanks!
Thanks for the question Brandon, what we have found is a temperature setting around 8-8.5 seems to cause the generator to go into the overload state. We have been welding steel around 1/8-3/16 we notice the generator struggles as the increase of wire speed to compensate the increase in temperature, to cause the generator to go into overload. For steel that is a thinner gauge the generator seems to hold up well. So to answer your question this generator will max itself out and with the technology it has, it will put itself into overload and restart shortly after striking an ark on max settings.
@@sunandsnowonthego8264 Thank you for your quick reply! This is exactly the info I needed. When on a generator I do not weld >1/8" so it seems like this generator would be perfect!
Awesome, glad I could help you out, thanks again for reaching out.
Hmm, odd that it takes so many pulls to start. I’ll just keep using my champion 2500 ultra that starts perfectly fine with one to two pulls in 5 degree camping weather 🙌🏻
Can I borrow your heat gun?😅
😂. You should take that up with the boss.
Looks fun.
Nice
