I enjoyed this lesson. For me, it can be summed up by the words ‘More to be desired…’ (Psalm 19:10). The high point of the lesson was around the 36 minute mark.

Salvation is by grace. Faith is the acceptance of God's mercy and grace, exercised in Jesus Christ. Everything depends on these.

The New Testament calls it the church of God over 20 times.

All churches teach these things.

Our Momma & Daddy were “Old-Fashioned” & lived by the Ol’ King James Bible. We got to witness them walk the old paths together with love through thick & thin. When our Daddy passed away. Our Momma said that he was the love of her life. So she didn’t want another Man. And so it was until the day she went to be with Jesus & Daddy in Heaven.

Brother Boyd certainly spoke the truth. Many times people have told me God told them something contrary to His written word and I find it helpful to quote the contradicting scripture in the Holy Rit.

What Christianity have done to HUMANITY is atrocious!!! They swallowed the lie of GOD'S SON, garnished with GOD'S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, in times when ignorance and use of "Common Sense" didn't register that GOD is NOT an INDIVIDUAL UP SOMEWHERE and the symbolism of THE SUN OF GOD meant to ILLUMINE HUMANITY was a prohibited notion. Now the idea that JESUS'S PROMISED SECOND COMING was FULFILLED in 1844-1863 HIS PRECURSOR and PROCLAMATION respectively Christians don't want to HEAR about and the Muslims reject the FACT of their awaited FIFTH IMAM and been killing BABI'S then BAHA'I'S since then. Now these opportunist charlatans get much prominence and riches off of the minds that were compromised and unable to conceive the FACT of GOD'S PROGRESSIVE REVELATIONS that this time make the Church, Clergy and the likes OBSOLETE and should be open minded enough to INVESTIGATE the claims of the UPDATED SPIRITUAL TEACHINGS. But that's not GOOD FOR BUSINESS worst so the TIME TO TURN WEAPONS OF WAR INTO PLOWSHARES or HUMAN HARMONY an INSULT to the reigning powers of today. Muslims kill one at a time, today's powers kill in huge numbers. "NUMBER" a "Bible" book that narrates the begginings of the wars that rage to this day. But charlatans prevent such knowledge.

I can look back and cherish the days that I occasionally sat at the feet of brother Hugo McCord during my childhood years when he would preach at the church at NE 36th and Prospect and later at West Wilshire Blvd in Oklahoma City. During this time brother McCord taught Bible at Oklahoma Christian College. I would later be in one of his Bible classes my first year of college at OCC in 1971. He was a very animated preacher as I recall and had a great capacity to quote Scripture from memory.

Blessed and hallow is the name of God.

Brother Wallace was a strong voice in support of a “correct translation” of our Bible into the English language. Let us all speak the same thing and let there be no divisions among us, speaking of spiritual things with spiritual words.

I met brother Bright back in 1976 when I moved back to Oklahoma from the Marine Corps to attend school at Oklahoma State. Me, my wife and 1-year old daughter lived in Cushing, where we had Brother Bright over to our apartment after he had preached at the Cushing church of Christ. I note that brother Bright died at age 71 in 2011. Here we are in 2024 and I will turn 72 in November. Puts everything in perspective for me. He was a great preacher of the Gospel. Robert I am very thankful for you to be posting these videos of these great preachers for the next generation to enjoy.

I did not know that brother Highers was from Oklahoma. I knew him when he was an elder at the Getwell church in Memphis back in the 1970s.

He talks about binding and loosing, referring to what is lawful, what is unlawful, that takes place in Acts 15. The Jewish sect was binding on gentiles to be circumcised. Peter and James both affirmed publicly that circumcision was loosed. The same idea in found in Matt 5:17 & 19 in the Greek language, Jesus said whoever "looses" one of these laws..... so we can know for a fact that binding and loosing was referring to matters of law. That's Matt 18:18-20, Jesus literally instructed the future apostles to agree together, at least two of the apostles, when a group of people asks the apostles a question, Jesus says " every matter, " agree two at least. James agreed with Peter in Acts 15. This needs to be learned, be able to explain this in order to demolish the Roman papist religion where the followers belive a pope alone could pass law, to bind and loose laws that God demanded. Matt 18:18-20 = Acts 15.
