Glad you started adding comments! This is a great recreation. Ive been following along. Good work, sir! Great story, as well!
Who ever made this simulated video needs to study steam power. Ehat is with the puffs out of the side of the engine. ? Every steam engine cylinder has cocks to release condensation during warm up. because while a gas ie steam can be compressed. liquids ie Water can not. once the engine is Hot these are closed. steam escaping from the cock is only visible during the first mile from startup. not during main line travel.
What a waste of time. A General used on CP, NOT!!!! piss poor idea of what the pass looks like at best. Good thing I am blocking this crap other wise I would rip you a new one!!
amazing!
are you referencing to the Computer generated CGI ?
I'm looking for your video that you set up PBR painter and the added window in Blender with the files where you can see the textures and materials in different windows.
I thank we need to get you to do some new PBR Painter tutorials in Blender 4.
Excellent!
Hey thanks for these videos. I happened to see your link over on the Trainz forum and came to your channel to see that beautiful image of the V&T #29 in your video! Nice!
can you do a vid about loco export and more
Hello. Is it possible to convert .trainzmesh file back to fbx or other format?
sure just dont mention pbr painter costs 40 dollars
How do I open the menu of meshes in a blender?
It's also good practice to enable "Backface Culling" in the material's "Settings" section. This will prevent trainz from rendering both sides of every face, thus halving the poly count.
Hi Cayden After a couple of years away from creating I'm starting again and this is a fantastic refresher course! I really appreciate the thought and huge amount of work that's gone into this series: the bitesize chunks make it easy to find exactly what users are looking for rather than scrolling through chapters, and as always with your tutorials everything is very clearly demonstrated and explained. If there were an Oscar for tutorials, I'd be nominating yours!
Hi, I have some problems when converting exporting Blender to .IM Trainz.... I am trying to export "coal texture" .... In Blender, it;s OK, coal looks well. In trainz, there's some warning BUT NOT FAULTY. But ih drive session, "dark coal" is appear as "black sand" ... Am I mistake the setting ? I use Albedo, parameter and normal. UV Map I use albedo ...
I had followed the instruction from web Tutorial How to Import FBX from Blender to Trainz, BUT GET ERROR MESSAGE.... Failed FBX file ...
Thank you for this very clear and complete tutorial !
You are a kind soul and I appreciate all that you've done and are doing. Thank you very much!
More programs can made PBR texture are Ammor Paint ( paid software) and Quixel Mixer (Free program) I trying to export PBR texture on Qupixel Mixer
When I go to file paths, I don't have asset libraries there.
I'm curious! Is the PBR painter available also for Blender 2.79b? I really tried learning 2.80 and higher, I'm just used to all of the old inputs and I know where everything is!
A bit confusing... you say "keyboard shortcut" but then use only mouse movements and mouse-click selections. Great stuff though.
Hi Cayden (Doug56), I am immensely grateful for your willingness and willingness to provide us with a tutorial on using Blender to export to Trainz. It's a unique opportunity and I want to make the most of it. Thank you very much, Joao Sergio from Brazil
With UV toolkit no longer available, what do you suggest as a replacement?
Hi, I've used Gmax for a very long time and looking to move onto blender. I've got 3.5 installed. Something I've noticed is increasing the number of vertices / polygons in an object seems a lot more work in blender than in gmax or am I misunderstanding the tutorials? In gmax with a cube you could quickly alter the number of subdivisions/faces by simply increasing the number defined for the object. It usually copied the spec from the previous object that was created or modified then just change the number of divisions. With blender it looks like you have to manually add each poly / vertice individually using subdivide. Is that true? Thanks, Gary.
Have a look at the "Subdivision Surface" modifier. I've never used Gmax, but that might help you. :)
UVpackmaster3 $44.00 worth it UVtoolkit no longer available PBR Painter $28.00 worth it Texture folder $12.00 got it quick snap $0.80 got it Synchronize Workspaces still not available darn. I noticed my version uvpackmaster3 has a stack groups check box added below the normalize islands tab. I ran across an article saying this does the same as you describe for the uv tool kit that's not available at this time. Maybe they decided to include the tools in the other add on. I'm new to blender, but have had classes in 3ds max and Maya as part of my degree in media arts and animation. I'm retired and can't afford the more expensive hobby versions of 3dsmax, so I'm hoping blender will get me back into modeling.
Some good tips here regarding clearing excess vertices etc, thank you.
Trying to make the transition from SketchUp to Blender for my Trainz models. Thank goodness for these tutorials, but YIKES!
thanks you our good sir!!! god bless you!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, and your original tutorial. I've been making content in Trainz for a few years thanks to you and I've been hesitant to graduate from 2.68a. Gotta keep up with the times and this really helps with the transition!
And how export his model to Trainz 2012 or 2009?
Yes, but from the last course when I move some boards one way or the other and after I imported the crate to the game, I'm getting some white shinning stuff and I found out it caused by faces on top of each other or overlapping.
If you can add to route, why not take a picture of the item in game and then redo the thumbnail before sending it to N3V?
When I start here why are my cross show in red and yours doesn't?
Good day, Sir I cannot get hold of the UV Toolkit, so how do I go about the initial steps in the UV Editing window without the Toolkit? Is there perhaps a workaround for it? Thank you for the videos re Blender. It is most helpful. Kind regards, Wim
Thank you very much for these course's.
