what is jcpds no. where from we can get it
For every materials XRD, there is some xrd data which has some specific jcpds file no. You can now get this data from ICDD (International Center for Diffraction Data), which will be only accessible on subscription. You may also contact some labs who has subscription to it for the help.
Thank you for the video. I have a question though: how do the atoms/molecules/particles escape to forepump? When the oil condensates and deposits on the bottom of the pump, why don't the particles do follow through?
Thanks for watching the video and asking a good question! The answer for your doubt is as follows: The gas molecules don’t condense and follow the oil because they have much lower boiling points compared to the diffusion pump oil. The diffusion pump oil is chosen for its high boiling point, meaning it can vaporize only at high temperatures and remain in a vapor state under the pump’s operating conditions. Gas molecules, on the other hand, generally have low boiling points, so they remain in a gaseous state at these temperatures. This difference prevents them from condensing along with the oil. The high-speed oil vapor jet simply carries the gas molecules by momentum transfer, but there’s no binding or significant interaction between the oil molecules and gas molecules that would cause the gas to condense along with the oil. The forepump continuously pulls gas molecules away from the diffusion pump’s bottom, preventing any accumulation that might lead to unwanted condensation. Hope it helps!
