I personally couldn’t find one I purchased a socket and used a grinder against the outer sidewall. Pretty sure I mentioned the size in 1-3 videos

@@PressStart-PST yea! It seems to be a 30mm thin wall 12 point! I just did the same and grinded it down! We are out in Canada and non of the brands we have in the shop would fit! Best solution would be cheap 30mm deep socket and grind it down if it doesn’t fit!

I had the exact same issue. Your seal is after market, I had tried 3 different aftermarket seals to try and save money I ended up buying it from bmw and it worked perfectly afterwards. Get a seal from the dealership

I mention it in one of the three videos I posted. I don’t remember I did that 2 years ago. I know for a fact it’s a 2 step torque spec tho! Hope that helps

It is possible that your cats are clogged. Instead of pulling your cats remove the 02 sensors and take a look at the honey combs to see if their clogged.

This means a lot, at the moment I'm just trying to get her 2.5 230 thousand motor running good enough for a daily until I can save enough money to put a 3.0 or a m57 or n57 diesel im hoping it's as easy as just the cats im going to try unplugging the o2 sensor first the only check engine light is the secondary air pump

If your removing them to install catless headers then yeah. But you still get those ugly cats in your engine bay

I’m honestly not 100% sure. Doesn’t sound like a good idea in my opinion! If your transmission is out of the car it should be a lot easier you could bolt it down to a workbench

Yea especially with these cars the gaskets literally turn into plastic after awhile. That’s the European cars… 80$ for a gasket😂 most people bring them to an aftermarket shop and not the dealer they can’t afford them.

Sorry for the late answer just saw this man! Yea the exhaust manifolds are the exact same when it comes down to the bolt pattern if you get cat less down pipes you shouldn’t have any issues although I wouldn’t recommend eBay headers their known for resting on the engine mounts. No I didn’t remove the engine mounts and I didn’t cut the manifold either

I had the cut the cats at the end of the flange where it connects to the actual exhaust itself (underneath the vehicle) because the bolts were so rusted out you shouldn’t have to remove the engine mounts I’ve see videos of guys doing that it’s really unnecessary just take both manifolds off at the same time and wiggle them out from the top! If your flange isn’t rusted you just remove the bolts at the flange shouldn’t have any problems taking them out!

@@PressStart-PST it's just a cousin came over and put red tight on one of the bolts that holds my motor mount into the block I'm trying to figure out an easier way to remove the old cats that I place inside there and put in the other one so your video that I watched it showed that I just have to remove everything that is on one side and I should be able to lift the engine correct the tiny bit and snake them out

The nuts are usually 12mm you have to switch from deep socket to regular it’s tricky with the small amount of space you have!

Depends. I struggled a bit took me about 5 hours and I pulled the transmission in less time then that😅 definitely worth it tho! Thanks for the question man!
