Reelcraft Air Hose Reel Leak Repair
มุมมอง 1.4K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Video walks through the repair of the rotary union on Reelcraft Air Hose reel Model 4435 OPL. The Rotary union on this model is a nob serviceable design, so the video shows how I fabricated a new part in order to repair the leak. These rotary unions are available for purchase online for $50 to $60, but since I had access to a lathe, it was a quick and inexpensive repair. The drawing for the rep...

Scratch-built Steam Tractor from 1971 Popular Mechanics magazine
มุมมอง 491ปีที่แล้ว
Steam Tractor built from 1971 Popular Mechanics plans. Design by Rudy Kohout. I started building this as a teenager, and worked on it off and on for a while. When Covid lockdown hit, I figured it would be a good time to finally finish it. After 50 years, it was finally completed. I decided not to paint it as I kind of like the look of raw materials. I have not yet run on live steam as I’m hesit...
Machining Small parts using 4th axis concept on manual mill
มุมมอง 243ปีที่แล้ว
In a previous video, I showed a repair of an antique lock that required machining a new latch pin. This video demonstrates how i machined the part minimizing the fixturing needed by using a spin-indexer and rotary table on a manual mill. This allows the part to remain registered until all machining steps are complete, making an accurate part without introducing fixturing and clamping variation.
Antique Dresser Lock Repair
มุมมอง 90ปีที่แล้ว
We purchased an antique dresser that had a defective lock. In order to disassemble I had to remove a thin cup shaped part that held the keyed cylinder in position. I repaired a broken latch pin, and fabricated a new brass cup to replace the original. I will be following up with another video detailing concept of machining the small latch pin that has some complex geometry making clamping and fi...

Fender Jazzmaster Guitar routed on CNC using Ambrosia Maple slab
More then required😂
Have replaced O ring in several of these, never needed a new shaft, sinply work a couple of screw drivers behind the ferrule nut and work it right off, the oring reelcraft uses is a #904 which is available at most industrial supply houses
Thanks for the input but it didn’t work for me
Worked perfectly for me. Thanks
Good job unexplained what you need to do to get it right thank you
Great little trick! Thanks, Ill use that!
Great video Bob !! Thanks for sharing Glenn
Thanks Glenn. Did you pick up some of those same reels? If you need some of the shafts, let me know.
This is the best diy solution I've seen so far. Beautiful!
I'm looking for this file. How can I get it?
Nice job and well presented!
Would be cool if you could put a similar system on the car so you could use it everywhere
Great video, any chance of sharing the file?
How would I go about doing my drill press or bansaw or large equipment?
very clever
Is there any chance of you sharing/ selling the CNC file? I’ve looked around the web for one, but none seem as good as the one you have here!
Is it better or not than using coil induction? (For watchmaki)
It is just as effective, as the magnets are setting up an inductive field just like an electric coil would do on.
Not a bad idea... check these out. Positive stop, Portable and completely customizable. www.popstops.com

This is awesome. Well done. I'm interested in how you connected the bar to your garage door light...
Thanks for the nice compliment. I didn't realize the video did not have a link to the Arduino Project Hub. I just added the link that has all project details. To answer yourquestion "On garage door opener, install a lamp socket adapter with outlet built in. Plug in your 5VDC power supply to this line, and run to the light bar unit. The light bar will only be on from time door opens until the door light times out. This prevents light bar from always being on."
you Engineer, you!
Bob, would you be willing to share a link to the CNC file at all? I'm looking to carve my own by hand but looking for a good quality file to reference off if you'd be so kind. Thanks in advance!
any advice on why im getting an erro ( #include <</font>FastLED.h> ) ( error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr\cores\arduino/</font>FastLE: Invalid argument )
You need to add the FastLed (as well as QuickStat) libraries to your Arduino IDE before you compile the program. Regards, Bob T
@@bobtorrence3461 Thanks Bod, i have both of them in place but for some reason im having an issue with the /font>LastLE side of things.. my Lib for FastLED does not contain a Font folder
