I restore efurbish vintage tools and machinery, specializing in vises. Came across your video, as a Simplex 43P fell into my lap today. As mentioned in the comments, new jaw inserts are available and the screw needs grease. You did a nice job with what you had. I'd urge anyone looking for a vintage vise to not get one from a scrap yard. There are plenty of these things in good condition selling for reasonable prices. The Simplex cost me $40 - looks like it sat in someone's garage its entire life. I won't even look at a vise that needs machining. No need.

Just so you know, hardened jaw inserts are easily available. Just run a quick search or click on the link in my other post.

Great video. I like how he brought the headgear up. My pipeliner headgear is straight cheeks. 100% garbage. But the Jackson I have. I'm about to put that amazing headgear in the pipeliner. I don't see why they make things difficult. 3350 is my next hood. Headgear can't be a deal breaker. Ol Greg at the shop has a Lincoln hood with the same headgear. But that ol son tig like hell. He's probably superhuman. But he approves of these hoods. I'll try my luck. Great review. Drunk comment.

I’m a welder/fabricator. Got a 2018 Honda Rubicon I’m gonna start welding on. Heavy bumper. Heavy radiator relocate. Bike needs more weight on the front for nasty holes. Gonna put a stinger on it too. Love the idea! I’ll be watching your upcoming videos

Gotta make a little turn table for your cross over steering, then you could still use your chain link handle and it would turn on a dime with a ton of weight

Nice work man!! I like fabricating my own add-ons as well. But that stinger on your bike is sick bro. I appreciate your new ideas. I'm in the middle of building a 86 Honda trx350d . I bought the motor and frame back in November ('17) and just have got the rear fenders put on this morning. I've been working on building some shock towers on all 4 corners with .120 DOM. I have to pick up some .25"x1"x10" flat in the morning to fab some mounting tabs! Anyways, great looking bike man. 😎👍
