Why the hell wouldt you buildt such an big telescopic crane, its mutch more efficient to use a crawler crane, less wheigt of the boom result in higher capacity at the business end !! Futher more the maxime liften capacity is nice for in the brochure, at 3 meters radius you don't lift nothing, the machine is the way!! The Liebherr LTM 11200 does not lift 1200 tons, to lift that there is a special boom needed. None is built to this day. Liebherr often copyd never improved!!!!

I’m very skeptical about such a gigantic hydraulic crane. In my opinion the Chinese manufacturers are moving too fast concerning size of units. I’m going to be very interested to see how this XCA 4000 will perform, short term and long term. Will any units be sold outside of China? I really find it hard to believe that a foreign company would take the risk of such a huge investment. Another question would be practicality. Will a crane as massive as the XCA 4000 be practical to use on various industrial projects? My thinking is that a contractor could be better served by TWO 2,000 ton capacity cranes. This would offer better flexibility as well as mobility. In real world applications the 2,000 ton capacity units would work in tandem to perform any super heavy lifts.To conclude I’ll just say that while this crane is extremely impressive looking, I’m not yet convinced it will be a success internationally.We have to wait to see if the overall quality, reliability, etc is on par with crane manufacturers such as Liebherr and Manitowoc.

That is a very impressive looking crane.For having a 700 ton capacity, it appears to be compact in size. Tadano produces a very high quality product, so a heavy lift contractor would probably be making a wise decision in purchasing one. I like that Tadano offers this model in two different boom lengths.

He’s right I personally work on those cranes. You can build them up real quick and they’re real stout. That’s a great crane. Liebherr the Cadillac of cranes.
