Guys, really helpful video. I haven't played 40K since 3rd ed, but I really feel my club need a lift on the 40K front and so I am undertaking running a Crusade for about 10 to 12 months for all the 40k-ers and looking at doing a map that gets updated. This vid was really useful for how to approach it and the point about no requisition points in the first game is a good one, about a 3rd of the players that are interested ar pretty much brand new players and so a more gradual introduction of all the parts of the campaign is a great idea (I did something similar with our club's Bolt Action league and dropped vehicles and other rules out for the first round of games so that the newer players could get their feet in the door and have half a chance as the thing progressed. The hardest part is getting my head around all the various points and aspects of the Crusade and nevermind that there's all the codexes etc tp consider too. Fortunately I have Labour 3 ecproeonced guys to pull on for a final review so hoping it will all be ok in the end. Thanks again for the vid!

Damnit, these new vids are making me want to play a Necro campaign again! I swore off it because my last game group made it such hard work and it's already tough enough with all the convoluted rules to keep track of, that a group fussing over 0.5cm movement or arguing over line-of-sight / cover made it so every game was a day long slog. The world and minis are my perfect setting, I just need trimmed down, more breezy game play so my brain doesn't fry!

Had a idea for balancing, have the top gangs fight over something like Plasma ammo (removes scarce keyword for x amount of games) then have the bottom gangs that are falling behind raid the top gangs strongholds. If they have any fighters the top gangs didn't take are on sentry duty (can be run by the arbitrator if player isnt available but can only be put into recovery if injured) then they steal any kit and creds they have in there stash (place loot crates around the table number them and have players carry them off the table and write down what is in each box and at the end of the game they open them and see what they got. Just a idea but I think it could work if some gangs are running away with the campaign

The only parts of the podcast that I tend to turn off for are the bits when Dan starts talking 🤣

I was so hyped when they did announce this film back in the day. I was so dissapointed when I watched it. I really wanted this to succeed as much as I want Henry Cavill to succeed with his current 40k project. It was boring and it had the visual quality of a Barbie DVD. Shameless cash grab.
