    Currently on a sober path. For so long i told myself that being in an altered state was the thing I needed to bring out my creativity, but the reality is that I created less when i was high. A lot of times I've used my vices to escape boredom or being uncomfortable. I've felt most creative and expressive by meditating consistently, being in nature, being in silence. By allowing myself to be bored... the thing I though I needed to avoid. And I agree- marijuana of today is not the marijuana of the 60's and 70's. Everything is much stronger..it takes so much more to reach a level of highness, more consistent use to maintain the high. People are getting hooked on it. I wish that American society was at a healthy place overall that revered plant medicine as exactly that... medicine. And if your going to take the medicine, integration is just as important as the experience. I think that psychedelic plants can be useful and healing to this society. The rewiring of the brain... can be beneficial. It just can't be positioned as a novel experience to consume

    Great video man. I truly relate to just about everything you said. Grew up not talking to anyone, and even grew an arrogance about it - thought since I was different I could own it and just not talk to people. These days I truly see the importance of sharing. I love love, I love connecting with people despite my introverted tendencies. And to me, if you can make even ONE person happy with your art, then there is purpose to it and judgmental people can be ignored. I had the same habit of sharing things and deleting them for even the thought of being judged. But now I see that you’re not only selling yourself short by doing that, you’re preventing the people who would’ve loved to see your art, from seeing it. Putting focus on them really completes it all to me. Anyways sorry for the ramble but I love this video man truly, keep up the good work 😁

    I read a poem once, that I can't remember the title or who wrote it lol, which basically was along the lines of the author saying that they wish they could tell every person who ever made something that gave them comfort or joy thank you. Thank you to the person(s) who made anything from their favorite songs/artworks to their favorite sofa at their grandparents' house. Just a thank you to people they'd never meet that touched their life in some way. The internet can be a beautifully daunting place. But sometimes I stumble across little treasures like your channel that give me comfort? Inspiration? Hope? Resonance? Haha can't think of a word that really fits. Thank you for posting these videos and sharing a part of yourself here. Its the weed and alcohol. and go at it from a scientifical approach if you think you have memory issue, look into things like lions mane, look if you have defencicies like b12 or magnesium (altough you were eating nuts there). I mean abusing any drug is bad... i abused lsd not good... but ya know its not what fucked me most... its people that fucked me most. mold your brain back... its no perfect science but increase bndf and ngf, continue exercizing, form good relaionships get good sleep and ye.

      There isn’t a lot of strong evidence currently to support neurogenesis from psychedelics. I’ve been smoking weed since 11 or so. Did shrooms when I was 18 a lot of them not very strong ones but I was eating a lot. Did a heroic dose of 3.5 of penis envy one night then decided you know what let’s do it again tomorrow night… that brought me the most anxiety I’ve ever had for like 6 months but I learned so much from it. I really only started smoking a ton of weed in like 2020 when I was selling for my grandpa then I just never quit I still smoke like an ounce in 5 days and I’m 20 years old. I discovered Molly last year from a buddy at a festival actually two of them were now really good friends but live like 6 hours from each other so we meet like once a year at this fest and do molly I don’t see a problem with it and it’s the only time I do it… I feel you on the memory thing though 🩵 also I don’t know if I’d feel good I quit weed I get so conflicted with it so often I’m like if I quit this I have to quit everything… it’s weird kinda like the digging your self so far down thing… idk much love!

    I agree, there is definitely a lax attitude toward the drugs that literally rewire your brain. I had a good friend who had 3.5 tabs of acid their first time at the age of 17, and nearly two days, and a hospital stay later they were a completely different person. I mean that exactly. They had a hallucination where they dug a grave and buried their old 'self', when they came to in the hospital they didn't react to their 'old' name and haven't since. Whole different set of likes, and dislikes, friendships ended as they didnt' have much in common, their styles changed, and so did their aspirations. A Whole new personality was made, and it reminds me to treat this stuff with the utmost respect. This was over a decade ago. Raam Daas said something to the effect of "The goal isn't to get high, it's to get free". Getting high can make us feel free, but it isn't freedom, it's just another attachment, and when we're chasing that dragon, we're really looking for that feeling of freedom we've felt. With all of that being said, indulging is what makes life worth living, so as long as you're not actively jonesing for a hit, I think it's fine to do it casually. What that means is different for everyone though.

    • @the-strange-daze
      @the-strange-daze 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow yeah, I’ve heard similar stories to that too. Some people don’t quite have the mental faculties to do psychedelics, even therapeutically. At the end of the day, I believe it’s to each their own. I’m not here to judge as much as observe though. Substances made my life a very sessile one, so I try and stay cautious these days and think others should look deeply into why they actually use. You can gain a lot of the same benefits by broadening your horizons. The human body produces many feel good chemicals on its own

Jesus, man, everything you just said hit home with me, and now I'm going to have to look into myself for a while. I'm in a weird spot in a relationship with a woman that i really do think i want to spend the rest of my life with, but i keep holding back. I keep telling myself that I'm not good enough for her, despite her disagreement with the idea. I keep trying to convince her that she can do better, but she keeps fighting for me and believing in me, and that's a first in my life. She makes me want to prove her right, but I'm terrified. I feel you. I recently realized I get anxious whenever anything goes right in my life and it’s because things used to always get taken away from me, especially when I was younger, as a form of punishment. It’s the same with people and opportunities in my life. I’m so scared that somethings going to change that I never really let myself fully feel it. It’s as if they’re gonna fly right through me. What helps me is to be present and only letting what’s around you to affect you. Of course it’s not always good and it’s okay to be sad sometimes. Learning about philosophy also helped me a lot, stoicism in particular being a nice practical philosophy to help you realize what is and isn’t within your control.
