What pair of irons are you running?
SSP!
@@jc.johnson5 yeah, now that I have made master in CCP I am dabbling inn other divisions. Shot BUG division in the match prior to this one and I am signed up Carry Optics at the next match. Can’t decide which one I’m going to stick with yet.
You were blazing fast. That 2 to body 1 to head stage was nasty
@@TonyBShooting thanks man! You shot well today too! Great match for sure!
Who could watch this video with that awful music at volume it at, if the person who produced the was smart he would kill the music. Could not watch the video.
@@haroldwillrich9046 Thanks for the feedback.
Awesome shooting man! I've been wanting to pick up a 75 compact just like yours, what kind of holster do you run?
@@wadetruesdale Thanks! I am currently using a High Noon IWB kydex holster in the appendix position. I added a foam wedge for better concealment and replaced the factory soft loop with an extra Bravo Concealment IWB belt clip I had laying around. I love this setup. I may make a video in the future going over some of my different carry guns and setups I use in these matches. Thanks for watching.
IDPA must have changed since I last saw it. Nobody is wearing those photographer vests?
@@crayolascents lol, lots of folks still do. Since IDPA has made appendix carry legal, I tend to just use a t-shirt or a hoodie. My boy here uses either a fleece vest, a flannel or a short sleeve button down. There is no shortage of photographers vest on the range though.
@@ShooterReady489 Yeah, everything looked normal. I might have to revisit IDPA. Thanks for posting the vid, and congrats on bringing a son into the fold.
Took the long shots on 3 with BUG for zero down on those targets after 2 malfunctions...show off👏👏👏
@@7476Shooter lol yeah well you know.
Bug Div is slept on. People don’t understand how fun it is. Rapidly becoming my fave. You get to shoot pretty aggressively due to how we have to manage our ammo/reloads. between that and the slamming reloads is feels very dynamic.

@@travispowell2471 it was a lot of fun indeed. Fairly happy with my overall finish. Having two bad rounds on stage 3 cost me 5 seconds. Getting the Procedural Error penalty for dropping a mag with a round still in it on stage 1 cost me another 3. I need to iron out my reloads. I am bringing the gun down way too low. I plan on sticking with BUG for the time being even if not many others in my local clubs are shooting it. I am considering signing up for Nationals in BUG division.
Awesome job and congrats on the bump!

@@Delta-Alpha-Kilo I should but as of right now it has not shown up on my IDPA dashboard.
1st nice
Nice
Do u run that cz in factory configuration?
@@FirstLast-ff7qx no I don’t. Not because it is not perfectly suitable in its factory configuration but because I like to tinker. List of things I have done to it: -Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight -turned the factory rear sight around backwards to provide a clean blacked out sight -LOK Grips thin checkered grips -Cajun Gun Works(CGW) reach reduction kit -CGW 13 pound hammer spring -CGW lite plunger spring -CGW firing pin spring -CGW firing pin retaining pin -CGW reduced power trigger return spring -CGW floating trigger pin -CGW SS recoil guide rod
@ShooterReady489 nice man. U do it urself? I got a 75 compact just like u n a 75b omega. Both great so far. I havent done one thing to em. Only thing i tinker with is 1911s to tune which is like the worst platform to do so to lol. And just general trouble shooting. The czs have been great out the box to me. U ever had problems the firing pin retaining pin? I never had but i guess the internet has
@ I haven’t had issues with the firing pin retaining pin either. But since I know it is a thing, I do all my dry fire practice with snap caps to prevent possible damage. Only time I drop the hammers on empty chambers in my CZs is when required to do so after shooting a stage at matches. The CGW retaining pin is supposed to be more forgiving.
@@ShooterReady489 thanks for the info man. I dont dry fire at all. Would you consider it a non issue?
@@FirstLast-ff7qx if you are not dryfiring it then the firing pin is not going to make contact with the retaining pin so you are correct that it would be a non-issue.
Nice dude I’ve been wanting to get into some IDPA. I’m pretty sure my Cz p-01 is setup the same lol Are those the Dawson precision fiber front, blacked out rear? Any trigger upgrade yet?
@@korazjian5251 IDPA is a ton of fun. Even though it is “based” on self defense scenarios , it is just a game/sport. Go into it with that mindset and have fun. So I have the Omega version(now discontinued) of the P-01 with the decocker installed. Dawson fiber optic front and a EZD blacked out rear(sold by Cajun Gun Works). Multiple replacement springs from Cajun Gun Works. 13 pound hammer spring, lite firing pin plunger spring, reduced power trigger return spring, red sear spring and their firing pin spring. Replaced the OEM firing pin retaining pin with one from CGW as well. Will probably be getting a CGW extended firing pin eventually. I have an 11 pound hammer spring that will occasionally fail to set off hard primers. I have been buying pre-primed brass for reloading and they typically use Argentinian primers which are harder than most others. I thought about changing the trigger for a CGW briefly but then I wouldn’t be able to compete in Stock Service Pistol division in IDPA or Production Division in USPSA with it if I did. As it is setup now it is pretty awesome with the factory trigger in it. With the 11 pound hammer spring it is amazing. Thanks for watching the video and I hope you give IDPA a try!
Looked fun for sure
It was indeed! You should come out to the next one. Best deal going for IDPA matches. 12 stages and a meal for 20bucks.
Whoa. Watch the fuckin profanity. Lol.
@@travispowell2471 lol yeah I am working on it. You should hear what I edited out to “clean” it up. Diarrhea of the mouth for sure.
@ Eh. Sometimes a little spicy language helps me tighten up when Im shooting sloppy. Get a little angry at myself and focus up. Good vids. I watch them all.
@ thanks! I appreciate it!
Love the commentary
lol, yeah I do tend to talk to myself a lot. I really am trying to quit cussing too but it seems to come out at matches when my stage plans start going off track.
I forgot USPSA increased Production capacity from 10 to 15 in 2024 making it way more fun.
@@NoogaMarc it was a lot of fun. On the second and third stages I sent a round into the black on the hard cover targets. On the fourth and sixth stages I managed to get a failure to engage penalty on each. So I ended up with two penalties and six misses. Pretty humbling.
Nice shooting!!! What kind of sights are you running if you don’t mind? As I go to your page to take a look 😂
@@TheStrick67 Factory CZ rear sight and a Dawson Precision front fiber optic. Currently my point of impact is lower than I like it so I will be replacing the rear with a taller one from Dawson soon.
@@ShooterReady489Thanks for the reply I’m going with Dawsons as well I have a set of LPA sights on now but I don’t care for them, looking to replicate what’s on my S2C, a lower front.
Nice! where was this at?
@@TonyBShooting Cavern Cove 373 Ambush Trail, Woodville Alabama 35776. It is east of Huntsville.
Too funny 😂
Do they not sell this anymore? Can’t find it on their site
@@TRR56 They have not had them in stock in a long time. Which is actually not a bad thing as my second comp failed. There was not enough material at the top corners to provide the structural integrity needed. It would be fine if you only fired a couple mags and allowed it to cool before continuing. It failed after five 15 round rapid-fire back to back strings of fire through it. Another option at the same price point would be the Street Comp offered by Suarez International and it is a far more robust design. HumbleMarksman YT channel has a good video about using it in a USPSA match. What I ended up going with is an Agency Arms 417s for the 43x. It is double the cost and I do not think it is double the performance. If you are using an optic I would recommend the SI Street comp. If you are going to just use iron sights the AA 417s is worth considering due to the fact you can mount the front sight on the compensator extending your sight radius. Another option is getting a JTT extended ported barrel. Hope this helps!
@ awesome thanks for the info!
A big thank you for all who shot today's match.
Stock trigger with Dawson fiber front sight?
@@ChaohsiangChen Not stock at all. Cajun Gun Works parts- short reach trigger, solid trigger pin, reach reduction kit, lite trigger return spring, lite firing pin plunger spring, 13lb hammer spring, Dawson fiber optic front sight, rear sight is factory but I turned it around to get rid of dots and make it a clean plain black sight picture.
Those are some good looking courses! I'm so ready for a match!
@@southernindianacompetitive9040 This match was so much fun. Great mix of short and fast hoser stages and longer ones with tight fault lines and no-shoots. The camera angle doesn’t do it justice.
What do the 1s and 0s mean if you don’t mind me asking?
@@velolciraptors9461thanks for the question! IDPA targets have three scoring zones in them. -0 scoring zones are comprised of a 3” diameter circle in the center of the head box and an 8” circle in the center of the upper chest area. -1 scoring zones surround the -0 scoring zones. -3 scoring makes up the remainder of the target which makes kind of a “U” shape that would represent the arms and lower abdominal area of the target. IDPA uses time plus scoring. This means, they take the total amount of time it took you to complete the stage and add the total number of points in seconds to come up with your final score. So if I shot a stage in 15 seconds, and I had a hit in the -3 and two hits in the -1 zones, my final time would be 20 seconds. Ideally you want to shoot the stage as fast as possible with the least amount of points. Different penalties have different point values as well that will add seconds to your final score as well. Hope this helped, thanks for watching!!
I will also be buying a TISAS 1911 DS Duty in the near future. Can you recommend a holster for IDPA based on your carry?
@@rolfminder I have an OWB holster made for a Springfield Prodigy that fits it well. The holster I’m using in these videos is a modified Bravo Concealment IWB holster made for a Glock 17 so I can use it from the appendix carry position.
The 75 fits in CCP? That’s cool.
@@ACxREAL the 75 Compact with thin grips fits the CCP box and makes weight with quite a bit of wiggle room. Fantastic gun!
@@ShooterReady489 Does the P-01?
@ with thin grips the decocker only variant does. The Omega variant without modification is too thick due to the ambidextrous controls and thus would fall into the ESP(enhanced service pistol) division.
Saw that switch from right to left hand at .30 time stamp. Very nice. Not a lot of guys can effectively switch hands like that.
@@thinman8621 thank you! That was an incredible tight lean, just seemed like my best option.
Recoil spring looks to heavy for loads. Maybe...
@@Heteachethmyhandstowar that ammo just barely makes power factor. Not sure I’m even going to keep this gun or not yet. So, I don’t want to invest anymore money into it at this point tweaking springs, adding sights so on and what not. I’m sure as it gets shot more and more the recoil spring will loosen up some. Definitely a great shooting pistol for sure. Soft on the recoil and accuracy is what one would expect from CZ. After the match I shot a steel popper at 95 yards with it. Good times!
Hell yea!! Those splits got faster and faster!
@@Cjordanshooting I can’t keep up with him on his splits. Once he dials in his accuracy and starts really focusing on building subconscious stage plans he is going to dominate. Kid is awesome!
@@ShooterReady489 yea he is!
Kid was fast I gotta step my game up! 😅
Love the p10
Great Job!! do you have an app that automatically puts in your hits or is that something you just remember what you hits and and then you edited it later looks cool. Thanks.
@@n110wa I don’t stop recording the stage until I have all the scores from all the targets. I go back in during the editing process, trim down clips, figure out which target had which scores and then add the scores one at a time. Editing on this video took me about a hour and a half or so. It’s a lot of extra work but I like the end result.

Nice pistol.
cool, where do I get the cobra emblem to put on my cz clone? that's excellent shooting, like how you do different platforms\
@@FirstmaninRome lokgrips.com Their grips are expensive compared to amazon G-10 grips but absolutely worth it. I have bought several sets of the amazon G-10 grips(CoolHands and Gunnn Grips) for CZ’s and 1911’s and hands down Lok Grips are much better. Well worth the extra 20-30 bucks. The Cobra grips on this gun are quite a bit more though. I think I paid 135 for mine. Just depends on what you want.
@@FirstmaninRome thanks for the compliment and for watching. I really enjoy shooting different platforms in different divisions. I would probably do a little better if I would just stick with one full sized gun and compete with that. But I’m having a lot of fun bouncing around from platform to platform. Keeps things interesting and competitive shooting matches really can show just how well different guns and gear will or will not work for you. Thanks again!
@@ShooterReady489 well my cz clone sAR b6c doesn't have grip plates anyway it's just polymer, but I like the double action for carry, and really the way it shoots overall, but I would perform best at the range better with the glock, cause of sheer range time, and they are forgiving, need to save up for real cz, I got this clone at the mall for 299 though, I just put some Traction gray grip tape on it, it really feels so much better than my glocks.
