Sempre al top! 😊
What if other skiers are on the slope, you kill them first to have all that space for yourself?
Great stuff👏👏👏

Awesome tips Kili! I've seen your posts so many times, today I noticed that you almost jump into your turns which is very noticeable in slow motion, is that to build extra pressure early? That seems like a great idea, in the transition it's almost like floating but getting a little extra potential energy with a jump heading into the turn can really add a nice boost on the skis, you can still build pressure quickly without doing that, but I love the all-in early edging you do, will have to try that!!
❤
In my opinion, you are en expert, excellent skier, but your advices, secrets as you call it, are not at all so good. Already in the beginning of this video, you say that you do not put actively pressure on your outside ski, instead you load your outside ski. This is nonsense! What you load on your ski is the ski-pressure. These are just two names of the same thing. Of course you load your outside ski more than the inside ski with pressure, when you start a new carving turn. But you do so much more things simultaneously. The real secret is, that you must preform quite many different movements simultaneously and you must know the priority order of these things, at least in the beginning when you are an intermediate skier and you want to learn to make optimal carving turns. Loading the outside ski is absolutely not the most important element, but it is an important element. Shift your CM early into the turn, in roder to create early edge angles, you say. Sounds good, but what does this mean, what do you do really with your legs or torso, or both in order to get this outcome?? You feel the skis flex??? What is this? Maybe you mean that flexed ski is a bended ski, by the ski-pressure. Anticipation is everything you say. This is about adaptation to different snow conditions. In my eyes, anticipation is a good stuff, but definitely not everything.
How you think about it affects how you physically act… or react to it. Thinking of loading through resistance vs. trying to push (pressure) affects correct or incorrect muscle movements. Splitting hairs but your brain sees each as a different output with a different outcome.
@@davidbeazer9799 I am sorry, but I think that what you say is wrong! If you work against resistance (snow and airflow), it means that you increase the speed of your ski and this is never a loading action. I think, the only way to load your ski is to increase the ski-pressure and you do this mainly by extending the joints of your leg (ankle, knee and hip joint extension). This must happen during the start of your carving turns, so that you create an apex. You have to do other tings as well until apex, you need increasing edge angles, increasing speed of your skis, increasing boot-tongue pressure, but these are not loading actions in my mind. After apex you unload your skis and this means specifically that you flex the joints of your legs and by this this you decrease the ski-pressures.
@ People use words and think in ways that help their bodies perform in the desired way. They may not make sense to others or even be the correct use of the word. We even have different native languages and world regions in these conversations. I don’t think anyone is wrong in this conversation. When Kili thinks pressure his body performs wrong and when Kili thinks loading his body performs right. It’s just how his brain processes those words. No need to change him. Kili gets to be Kili.
@@davidbeazer9799 But you talk in your video and what you say sounds really wrong to me, I must say. You say that you do not put actively pressure on your outside ski, instead you load your outside ski. This is a contradiction and you do not explain what you really mean, or how one should interpret this statement. I put a higher load on my outside ski, than on the inside ski, by loading a higher ski-pressure on it. How do you load your outside ski??
@ it could definitely be considered a contradiction, but more importantly It’s how he, Kili, chooses to think about it to get the best response from his body and you should think about it the way it works best for you. I don’t think either of you are wrong. Note that I’m David, not Kili, it’s not my video. I’m just commenting, same as you.
love the way you ski Kili! 🤩
Kilis secret tip: just be a geili siech! 😜
Need more details ? Inside leg ?
Let the forces work - The outside leg is the most important by far, Kili has some pressure on the inside ski as well to get it to bend and add to the turn, too much inside pressure and you'll get off balance, when you turn it helps to imagine all the pressure going on the outside ski and let your inside leg match the edge angle while being parallel, if you get the motion down, the inside leg kind of just works on it's own and then you can fine tune it from there. A good drill is to carve on one ski at a time on an easier slope, so you're practicing inside and outside edging, it's also a great warm up, it'll help you recover if you ever end up with too much inside pressure, then work on full outside pressure skiing on two skis and gradually progress a balanced pressure to the inside ski so you're using both skis to make a carve turn, also check out your tracks, you should see parallel rails left in the snow, consider the shape of the turn as well, Kili has excellent turn shape and his tracks are a perfect example
Check part one with independent legs
This loading and carving was possible with the Dynamic VR35 in the 90s, already. I would not say the VR35 were shaped Like a Carver without Rockers. The Advantage of the VR35 over any Carver is if the surface of the piste is fragile it doesn't Matter. If you carve over a fragile section of a Piste any Carver carve into the Piste even it has front Rockers. Rest is known. Carver Rodeo and the Pist needs some Treatment and the Rodeo rider a rescue sled....
Nice. Do you 'consciously' look for a Sagital Shuffle = Pulling the outside foot Back as you power up the outside ski? A recent USA yootoob vid promoted this -as a Euro teaching point; to help Hip Alignment Your friend Marius is a good example of the move ( but philosophically; I look for it later and less ) ps: I see you still haven't learned how to ski; but please take us for a great follow-cam ripper with your ski-buddies around your neighbourhood. -no demos or exercises in this one. You know: the Demo-team on their day off...
A lesson about the hip rotation should be interesting
Yea…. Second to this

Why build a bunch of bad habits?

Boots that fit. Head skis.

Can i ask if thighs will hurt(strain) alot while carving low?
Leichter gesagt als getan, leider
@@Tom17772-h das ist so, aber ich habs auch nicht in einer Fahrt gelernt. 😉 das kommt schon..
This is a great angle to see what's happening with the feet then going to ankles then knees then hips etc...I'm gonna come back to this often.
What ski boots are those white Head ? Model flex ? Cool
Thank you Will get in touch with you soon :)

Is this in Zermatt?

Haha 😜 thank you
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Why 11k 👎
Outstanding explanation, thankyou so much
How long are your skis?
Excellent explanation. So good that made me subscribe in the summer.
Typical let all hang out description of how to ski bumps. A genuine description would be like how intricate dance steps are taught. You sort of got it with the plant the pole on forward side of the bump. Example(not literal): reach right pole here, step onto outside left ski, step inside right ski, reach over mogul with left pole, compress over mogul, extend as you pass over...That IMO is how describing bump skiing should be done, not the adhoc way done here as is typical. On each turn, besides compressing and extending, the skier goes through choreography of stepping from one side to the other of each ski and planting a corresponding pole in the appropriate place. That's how ski instruction would be better served. Another Example(not necessarily literally) as you're transitioning from left to right turn: Step over onto the outside of the left ski, plant the left pole over the forward side next bump, step over onto outside of right ski, edge left ski, compress over bump, repeat as before with right side now. This is example of a more precision type of ski instruction.
Very cool tips, and some sweet turns to boot! Thanks.
No need to increase the BGM volume every time.
Are you using a 360 camera or more of a directional camera?
Great bump tutorial... I recommend much shorter poles... Try at 92 cm...(36 in)..... If you observe your hand position without using poles..well thats where you want pole placement as well.... The large sticks force your hands outward and slightly back..creating unnecessary upper body movement Anyway....nice speedy bumpage
what ski equipment you have , can you listed please , thank you

Awesome tip, thanks Kili!
ach, das gibts noch. Ich dachte, nachdem sich vor 20 Jahren schon Leute mit 7m Funcarver die Handschuhe und Anorakärmel durchgeschliffen hatten, hätte sich das wieder erledigt ;-)
