Giant moray
Underwater observation of the giant moray (Gymnothorax javanicus). It is a species of moray eel and a species of marine fish in the family Muraenidae. In terms of body mass, it is the largest moray eel. It reaches up to a little over 3m (10 feet) in length and 30 kg (66 lb) in weight. The giant moray is widespread in the Indo-Pacific region, being found from eastern coast of Africa, Red Sea included, until the Pitcairn group, Hawaiian Islands and also Polynesia. North to south Japan and south to New Caledonia, Fiji and the Austral Islands. It lives in lagoons and on the outer slopes of coral reefs. During the day, it sits sheltered in crevices between 1 and 50 meters deep.

how deep is it and where is it located?
Francesca is located near Kaprije island, Croatia. The depth of the wreck is 39-50 meters.

Is there a special reason for the use of Open Circuit instead of rebreather?
No, just a matter of configuration for this group. Many people also use rebs to dive in Orda.

are there any Trainwrecks in the water?
There are plenty for sure, athough i have seen only one, a locomotive that sank on the SS Thistlegorm wreck in Egypt. It looks massive underwater.

Does it bite ?
Sure it does, although not likely humans. In case that the barracuda feels threatened it might attack. Wiki: "Swimmers have been reported being bitten by barracuda, but such incidents are rare and possibly caused by poor visibility"

In the middle of the screen, close to the bottom. I would not get any nearer, it is not so safe. This barracuda had around one meter of lenght, perhaps more.

I always thought that coral reef would be colorful.. Is it normal that everything is pale blue?
Sadly it was a cloudy day, so the natural light was quite weak. I don't have any good artificial light for my camera yet. The depth here is around 12m, so naturally colours change slightly .

This is very sad to see. These corals are not living anymore.
That is not true. It is just a matter of the types of coral (their colours) and the natural light underwater at a certain depth.
