The last sound you got is the best, although the drive was still too high. It's "pickup compensation", btw, not pickup compressor. Do they do the same things? This is a pretty bad demo, though. Fender doesn't do a good job of explaining the adjustments, nor did you.

I just bought this with the audio interface behringer UMC22 (with built-in 48v phantom power) but it doesn't sound that loud. Should I buy an external phantom power?
