    holy shit, I cant believe what I just watched. I am always seriously amazed at the wonderful things people do to their vehicles or someone else's vehicle. So let me get this straight you spent at least 30 minutes drilling through the cars inner body/ frame in lieu of removing the air box which would allow access to the part without damaging the car, and only takes 5 minutes. peace and love my friend

    I was having the same issue, had no idea what CRC cleaner was but figured I'd try taking the cover off and blowing air in there...... didn't wanna hook up the aircompresser so I just blew air with my mouth and by dang it worked! Lol I am so grateful for this hack, my van died last night and so I have to drive my husband's work car for a few days and the seat is all the way back for his height and would not move forward for my short self. It's definitely no brain science.The ones without no brains are just a rectifier and transformer and a gauge in the sbitch.Put on low settit, should bring the battery up.But don't let it sit in charge too long unless the battery is still not above charge but they'll let it overcharge

      Very good point. Sometimes we are learning on the fly as is the case with this video. Editing for the sake of the viewer is usually the major consideration. This one was that scenario since I didn't want to do this twice. Most of my other videos are not this scenario. Thanks for your feedback and I hope the info was helpful.

    I have one question, What does the rubber trim actually do since you did not use it? T-top and hard top use the same rubber seal, and I hear vert uses a different seal. so is that seal really necessary?

    • @jhuntosgarage
      @jhuntosgarage 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your guess is as good as mine. Some rubber seals are fir dust/dirt and not necessarily for weather.

    What to do when no codes but Will not rev above 2200 revs

    • @jhuntosgarage
      @jhuntosgarage 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like you may have a plugged (dirty) catalytic converter. You can check that by disconnecting the exhaust pipe before the converter and see if the engine will rev past 2200. Seems like you'd have a catalyst code but maybe not. If the cat is dirty and blocking the exhaust it has to be replaced. Hope this helps and best of luck!

    I just did this and you are 100% what should be simple is absolutely rediculas. Took me hours and yes black and blue. I am a big guy but wish I had small hands for this job. Okay so what worked for me. First I was able to use a 10mm box wretch just to loosen. Then I used a 10mm box ratchet wrench with a swivel head. It didn’t quite fit over the bolts but once lossened I was able to push onto the top of the bolt and ratchet the rest of the way. But as stated it is tight so I was only able to ratchet maybe 10 degrees at a time so it took a while to get it off. As I note everyone state the bolt on the bolt is the hardest but I found the one at the back the most challenging. Good news is it had the orginal orange seals at 145,000 that means next change would be 290,000 should be years from now, so for that reason I see. No sense in changing it to a more accessible location. I did use original GM seals which are now black, do not see any sense in trying to save money on a part this difficult to replace. Hope this help someone

    If anyone wants to know a MacGyver way to get r done, loosen the tension pulley, align the belt on everything except the alternator, use a 24" piece of 3/8" non-nylon braded rope with a handle tied at each end, put the rope through the belt JUST BEHIND THE ALTERNATOR PULLEY, and use it pull/wedge the belt onto the pulley, hand crank the motor to set the belt, retighten the tensioner and she's golden.
