Surely that fact must have weighed heavily on her view of people. Then again, I think we can say in general that everyone's personality (and the way we see the world as a result) is shaped by our experiences, whether positive or negative. That's why I think it's always interesting to know the author's story before reflecting on his/her thinking, so that you can both empathize and compare it to your own thinking. Hi, this is a good discussion point. Personally, I think an author uses the mask of their characters to convey his own messages, positive or uncomfortable as they may be. After all, an author is said to speak through his books. Indeed, in the collection I have quoted the sentences that I think are most in line with his thinking. But mine still remains an opinion as a mere Asimov fan and you did well to point that out. Anyway, thanks for stopping by! :)
