I live in Lake Havasu and we have land past kingman and you need air conditioning! Even our friends who hav lived there for years are putting ac. A gaming laptop which allows for video editing chews through the batteries in the evening. Wells arent always able to be put in. It has to be hauled in and you need a rather large storage tank. There is more than what you 2 seem to be saying.

Please stop spreading misinformation. I currently live in Mohave county. It is incredibly restrictive in terms of regulations to live here. I am tired of renting and was wanting to buy. I have a 770 credit score, been working at the same job 8 years, and have $7000 cash for a down payment and two separate mortgage brokers have told me that is not sufficient to buy a “normal” home here. So I think to myself okay then, I’ll pick a spot in the county and live off grid. Just today I have learned that yes, you can buy land fairly cheap here. BUT…if I wanted to live on my own land in an RV I would have to purchase a permit to live on my own land EVERY…SINGLE…YEAR. And I would also have to worry about someone taking off with my RV and dogs inside while I’m gone to work or running errands because I am not allowed to have anything else on the property without a traditional living structure. If I want to live in a shipping container home I would have to hire an architect to design an execute the design to follow “codes” the county has invented. It’s a shipping container! It’s already built strong because of its intended use to ship cargo! It’s metal so it won’t burn! It’s just a way for the county to try and make money by forcing people to hire an architect. The people on the lower end of the pay spectrum are being pushed out. I can’t afford to buy a “normal” home. I can buy land but can’t legally live on it. Make it make sense. Clearly the voters here either didn’t vote or didn’t realize what they were voting into office to allow this crap to take place. This county is not welcoming to people unless you have a lot of money.
