Interesting points po. We are expecting somewhat lower cost of living kung sa probisya tumira. Pero to your point we are definitely planning for our son. Kaya sa 10M you are right, I don’t think it would be enough. Pero pag dating sa business, it’s kind of funny to say maraming kakumpetensya. Kasi one thing I noticed during our stay there kahit nasa province maraming foreigners may mga thriving businesses doon ie.: mga korean, chinese, indian. Kaya it makes me wonder would you thrive better with 10M php doing business in foreign place or is it all a matter of how you handle a business forgetting about competition that makes you succeed?

@AlexMollyTV it is better to have passive income streams than running a business in my opinion. Less stress with passive income from investments since most businesses fail even the ones that are thriving now in the Philippines. Foreign businesses thrive at first dahil bago sa panlasa o experience ng mga pinoy. Once the initial excitement and curiosity wear off, most foreign businesses fail. Most foreign small businesses in Pinas are probably funded by foreign retirees who saved up for many years and already have guaranteed monthly pensions in USD or any foreign currency that is higher in value than the PHP, so even if their business fails, they will not struggle, they will be fine.

@@paengguin9381 that’s true. We like passive income as well but you need money to make money hehehe. Kaya if not to have a business or actual work to reinvest in passive income. What else can be done besides winning the lottery hehehe.

@AlexMollyTV yup, I started saving and investing half of my income as soon as I started working at 18. Also invested raises, OT money and bonuses. Worked crazy for 20 years 6-7 days a week 8-12 hours per day. Retired end of 2007 at 38. Been retireddebt-free in sunny Southern California for 17 years, own house and cars outright. Life's good. Not a landlord or business owner, just living without stress, not working at all since 2007. Wife stayed home full time to take care of me and our son when I was working.

@If I knew the things I learned later on in life I would most likely be in the same boat as you. I have to say job well done to retire at a very young age you’re a role model.

Depende po kung may mga commitments pa kayo. Kasi kung nasa age of retirement na po kayo pwede nyo try maging snow birds para makita nyo lifestyle sa pinas. We did 3 years sabbatical po doon para makita kung ano yon lifestyle. Kaya for us now we have better clarity where we want to be down the road. But being snow birds first will give the opportunity to experience the culture and lifestyle. With some cautions. Hindi pa kami nakagawa video. Pero we plan on talking about the pro’s and con’s of living in the Philippines. Kaya feel free to stay tuned po.

If you were single and still at an earlier stage in life with that mindset you’d definitely be a smart cookie. Hehehe

Yan po ang isa sa mga discussions dati namin. If we would have stayed during that time we may have built that possible millions. But in the end we wouldn’t trade the time and missed opportunities lost kasi in the end we found our son. Kaya we will always be thankful for how the lord has always guided us in life.

Good point po, baka seguro po yon 10 million would be enough to start a business in hopes of being successful or perhaps reinvesting parts of the 10 million in dividend paying stocks and taking a small portion to have some temporary fun hehe.

Yes po, marami po talaga sa Canada when it comes to opportunities specially kung may mga bata. Minsan lang po yon iba po kasi nakaussap namin seems to be well off sa Philippines, some are doctors lawyers, engineers and what not. Pero they still decide to sacrifice all that moving to Canada ending up working in minimum wage places para “sa future” ng mga anak nila. Although I have to say hanga pa din ako sayo mga nag sasacrifice in that perspective. Just sometimes curious as to why if they practically have everything dyan sa Philippines.

@AlexMollyTV I think to get the Canadian passport then apply for dual later on. Less hassle for intl travels like Europe for example.
