I love when people with newer, worse cars than my nugget of a Focus cope by saying "going strong, burns oil!"

Sorry, I have to disagree. Hondas and some Toyotas run 0w-20 or 0w-16 and both companies make engines that will run forever. If an engine burns oil at low miles it’s usually caused by poor manufacturing of engine components such as piston rings.

@EvansRepairsandCreations uhhhh toyota is recalling over 100k vehicles from 2022-24 because of premature failure. Honda is recalling 1.7 million vehicles due to a steering failure but im sure 0w oil being used will result in another recall. If you notice hyundai and kia power plants as of like 2015+ are getting new engines under warranty well before the warranty runs put. Several manufacturers recommend switching yo 5w20-5w30.

The reason Toyotas are being recalled is because of machining debris left in the engine during the production process. Hondas are being recalled because of fuel pump, EV battery, and steering box issues. None of these involve the engine. In some lower quality manufacturers such as Kia/Hyundai using a lower viscosity oil may cause the engine to have premature wear or some small amounts of oil usage, but mostly 0w oil is not the reason for this. I have multiple Toyota Prius’ that have used 0w-20 oil since they were new and have around 200k miles and don’t use a drop of oil. If you put lower viscosity oil in a low quality engine, it can cause premature wear, but if you use it in a high quality engine, it shouldn’t cause any excessive wear. Yeah they have a motor recall on this one too apparently, but they will only replace it for free if the motor blows up or if there’s a certain amount of play in the crankshaft bearing I believe.

Any make and brand you should regularly check the oil. VW is way worse in their owners' manual it says it can burn around a quart of oil between oil changes. And it definitely does 😅

First of all the tire that is on it, that I did the burnout with is from 2008 and it won’t hold air. You would have heard me say that if you would have paid attention to the video. Also it didn’t make very much smoke at all and the smoke dissipated. I doubt my neighbors could even smell it. Do you just go around to different channels hating on them in the comments? If you do I suggest you fix your spelling and grammar errors.

@@EvansRepairsandCreationsyou are totally correct he should have watched the video and payed attention. a burnout is a good way to get rid of OLD LEAKY TIRES not BRAND NEW ONES.
