Ear cropping is painful and completely unnecessary. Despite what some breeders will claim, cropping a dog's ears does not benefit them in any way. It can be detrimental to their health, behaviour and welfare in the short-term and in the long-term.

It's horrible! My second cousin is a veterinarian and has a veterinary, and refuses to perform ear cutting, tail cutting and declawing (i think that's what it's called in English, it's when they take the nails/claws off the cat) and will not give an address or contact to any other veterinarian who could do it. He says it's not only horrible because it's like performing cosmetic surgery on a baby, but that it's dangerous for the animals. Ear cutting can make them more prone to having ear infections, and declawing is extremely hurtful for the kitten.
