I just got back from the Hatfield McCoy’s trip, I stayed in Ashland West Virginia. Awesome experience, this is my first ATV trip ever and the first time I actually got to use my ATV more than just moving brush. 100 out of 100 would recommend the Hatfield McCoy’s trip! I am definitely planning to go back next year already.

Do you need a license plate or anything to ride your ATVs, dirtbikes, and SXS into towns and public roads?

Trail riders bring in about 50 million a year into West Virginia and are keeping that state alive in many places keep going back keep spending money they need you

I love Hatfield McCoy, I’ve rode there multiple times. Next trip is Father’s Day weekend 2024. We are staying in Matewan.

My family was thinking about going up, it states that you can operate a machine if you meet the manufactures age requirement. Does that apply to riding the roads into town too, or do you have to be a licensed driver?

I know people who ride and then switch helmets out with their buddies. Need a different system to stop this kind of stealing.

How strict are they about wearing helmets while operation a UTV?

Looks like you had some great conditions that day! I learned to snowmobile right there between I.P. and West, mostly on a 1978 Blizzard 6500+. We haven't ridden up there in over 10 years, too many people now! Anyways, good job on the video.

The only thing I will say is that I am from IN. Been riding MI for 30 years. How do you NOT know what the charges are in MI for all these years? 26.50 for the trail permit and 10 for the pass. 36.50 for us out of state people. 50 for a trail pass in WV, PER VEHICLE, should be enough, but it is not. I have been going every year since 17. Love HM trails, just sayin.

Your review of the HM trails is 100% spot on. I've been down there at least 5 times in the last few years. Going down in two weeks. You have to ride safe and slow down there, especially around corners. Some people fail o realize it is a 2 way trail system. Riding on a dirt bike makes it even more interesting.

I remember riding on these trails with my dad as a kid, specifically the Ivy Branch section. That was back before it was owned by the trail company. Lot of good memories.
