Manitoulin Island, Little Current Swing Bridge from a Sailboat
มุมมอง 1753 ปีที่แล้ว
The old Swing Bridge was built in 1913. Rustic and Nostalgic to many. The Bridge crosses the North Channel onto Manitoulin Island. Soon to be replaced by a more modern bridge bringing with is a faster pace and more traffic. The bridge opens every hour on the hour for boat traffic.

    I’m planning to go in 2023 for 1 month but I can’t decide where to go. Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok. I heard Chiang Mai is the cheapest. A round trip flight from Canada to Thailand will cost me around $1,500-$2000. My question to you is will $1,500 CAD be enough spending money for 1 month? And do I need a Visa if I’m visiting for only 1 month?

    • @northerncanadatothailand8596
      @northerncanadatothailand8596 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't need a visa for 30 day stay. 1500 is enough yes exchange rate is good depending on where u exchange. 1500 is enough as long as u stay away from the ladies. You can stay in cheap places for 20 cad a night up to 100. Food is very cheap but be careful of the foreigner price they will upcharge you if your not thai. 10 to 20 a day in food. Chaing Mai has some great eco tours u can take the train from Bangkok it's very cheap. I will be there on Dec 20 heading to Bangkok but also going to Chaing Mai and and koh phi phi.

    • @northerncanadatothailand8596
      @northerncanadatothailand8596 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Phuket and Chain Mai are your best bet. If u land in Bangkok you can spend a few nights there then head to where u want to go. Phuket is more expensive than chain Mai one has mountains one has beaches to very different experiences. Pattaya the beach is a bit dirty and it's a bit of a party city and is the place to meet girls. If you want to focus on the ladies with a bit of beach life then Pattaya is good, 1500 will not be enough for there.

      Go to the town of skead just past the sudbury Airport. The old abandoned rail bed crosses the main road too the little town of skead. When driving into the town of skead turn right on the old rail bed The bridge is about 5k down from there. You can take an suv if you don't have an off road vehicle it's actually a decent road.
