I have chains and four suitcase weights on my 260 and it plows anything I put in front of it. You need to put a pipe on the edge of your plow, works wonders.

get a piranha blade for bucket and cut through the roots.

I filled my rear tires with -40F windshield wiper fluid, added 2 - 40lb wheel weights per side and I also put 5 - 42lb suitcase weights on rear weight bar off my 3pt. It will dang near push a house off its foundation now. Why windshield wiper fluid you might ask? Well there is no rim guard available in Alaska and -40F wiper fluid is the next best up here in the super cold temps. I don't use my 430 much anymore for plowing since I bought my New Holland (aka LS) Workmaster. Good video, I like the rubber mat idea off one of your other videos.

A tip put a piece of rubber on the cutting edge of your blade, it will glide across your driveway, also angle your blade and it will push easily 👍 very nice 430 btw ❤

I'm looking at a deal on one of those 430's with a 4 way hydraulic plow and a deck. After watching some of your videos, I'm liking the idea of having one. Love the rear tires you have on it. 👍

Orange yellow or green, they all need a little extra TLC now and again. Been loving my Husqvarna about 20 years and 600 or so hard working hours. Not it’s Biggs and Stratton engine so much but still able to keep it running thou. GLS2754 I think. Nice video.

Great tractor my friend. I think you fuel mix is off on your saw, but that is good hard wood for keeping your house warm.

Several years ago, my brother bought and restored a 1984 430. It looks really nice. He doesn't even use it for anything. He plowed his garden for a couple years but wasn't into gardening all that much. He likes it as a trophy. He used to be a drag racer with big toys, but now does mini-tractor pulls. Guess he got old, like me (70's).

J-D made use of all the agri. engineers they had on staff. They designed a mini-tractor, unlike the home and garden center options available at the time. And, they answered a segment of the market that wanted something fancy to drive around the yard and garden.

I'd look into extreme motor works for a stud replacement upgrade for the back rims. I know he has a stud kits for Cub Cadet supers and I'm sure they are the same as JD. I'm surprised JD used that style. I Love the tractor. I've only have one JD and it's a 140H3. But I have a small collection of Cub Cadet Supers though. I'd love to get a JD 420 or 430.. But I'm thinking I'm gonna go to the JD 855 or equivalent. Something 4 wheel drive and diesel. Great vid and Great Job!

Thanks for doing what the store said was impossible. Their solution is to buy another weed eater when all I need is a replacement spool cover. This is very helpful! Do you have any idea where I can find a replacement spool cover? Unfortunately, I have destroyed the cover and have had no luck locating a replacement. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for doing this review. I usually use a string trimmer when my curbs need a trim. I do not hit them every week or when I cut the grass. They were getting a little out of hand and my neighbor who has a Stihl came over yesterday and did all my curbs and driveway. As much as I appreciated that, I like to maintain my own yard and I do keep it trimmed and cut every week or so and treat for weeds and such. I say all that so you understand my yard isn't unkempt (usually), we've had lots of rain lately so it's growing faster than normal. So I really want to edge it myself and this looks like a good buy that doesn't break the bank.

I am sorry. The front tires may look nice (gives the impression of traction), but front tires need sideways traction for turning unlike drive tires. A better choice would have been a 4 rib or tri-rib tire on the front that wouldn't plug up with snow. I used single rib tires simply because we had them already mounted on a farm tractor a few times. I was amazed at how they cut to the base under the deep snow instead of plugging up and sliding. If you had 4 wheel drive, there would be some practicality to using traction tires on the front. I do think you made a good choice for the rears though. I plan on going that route on my 420.

Excellent ! Another mystery solved. Any suggestions as what kind of brush cutting head would be compatible to cut thick weed stems along with berry vines?

I have this exact Atlas 80 V electric string trimmer and I really like it because it cuts really good but adding more trimmer line to the head was always really hard but lately it's nearly impossible for some reason I think my trimmer had got warped or something and more worn out and I think it was warp when I first got it but it cut so good I kept it instead of getting another one but the last time I added trimmer line to it then it was nearly impossible so I really need to buy a replacement head that's preferably a different brand that's easier to use so would you know which replacement universal head would actually work good that's affordable and of course much easier to use for this Atlas 80 V string trimmer?

NIce use of what you have. I grew up on the farm and farmed myself for many years so I've seen a lot of accidents. I cringed every time I saw your son step behind the tire as you backed up a bit. When I was young I watched a man beside me reach over to relax at the end of the row working on a potato harvester. He absent mindedly put his finger in a moving chain. It ripped the end of it off in a split second.

Fluid in the tires and something heavy on the 3 point would have helped the 430. It looked pretty slippery though.

Nice video! I just bought this same saw a couple of days ago. It worked great for me. The 15ft claim I realized is that it assumes that you are 6ft tall and added to the 9ft tool length it gives you 15ft of reach off of the ground. I had to use a ladder to reach a lot of the limbs I need to cut. My only complaint is that the white plastic bar chain oil reservoir level indicator is useless. I can’t see anything through it. They should have made it clear. Other than that, it’s an awesome pole saw. The angled bar is a must!

Dude.. that is identical to the Kobalt 80V!.. Trying to get a cut string big boy head on it but not mess up the motor cooling fan part. I used an impact screwdriver tip, and busted two tips off! I see your shaft has marks like mine! Instant replay! You got it! I couldn't. Looks like I can cut the fan part off keeping the hole.. then figure out a spacer for the new cut line head. Thanks.. Kobalt and Atlas 80V trimmers are identical at least at the motor end.

Are the replacement chains hard to get for it?

Not a good idea to bang the bucket back and forth like that! I have been doing it for three years to the point where the pins in the bucket and ssqa no longer stay in! I'll either need to weld it to fix the ssqa or get a new one.

Not trying to tell you how to do it but it helps if you are in low rage going into a pile
