I have a video regarding this. Most of the birds wont allow to grind. If it is a caique then nails are hard. So u can use a nail grinding machine which we use for dogs and cats. If u are using bird nail cutter then cut little only. If not u will reach the vein.

60 days, not weeks. 60 weeks means more than an year. By 6 months old the chick will be fully grown same as parent.

Hi, which parrot breed u have? Anuways, in general as u saw in the video its general attitude of parrot chick to refuse the food some days. 1. Make sure u are using same hand feeding formula that was used by the previous owner. 2. Other thing is first try to keep a piece of apple without seeds. Most of the chicks start eating apple fast. 3. Make sure the previous owner feed him with spoon. May be he used syringe. U need to follow same what he does atleast for a while. If bird is not eating much at a time then increase number of times u feed. As u said u feed 3 times a day. So try to make it 4 or 5 or 6 times a day little little

@ I got a ring neck as well. I’m feeding same exact formula that the previous breeder used as well as a curved spoon. So everything is the same. I will try putting apple in his cage. Although I noticed now when I put him in his cage like today after I had fed him a little bit he was climbing and going crazy to come out becos he only wants to fly but it’s quite dangerous right now cos he flies quiet high and I’m afraid he would hit the wall and get hurt.

@nilufarshah9483 let him fly... close the room and let him fly... small hitings they will survive and they will learn that hitting hurts. Also remember that while a bird starts flying then she will readuce eating to get light weight. These are natural...

Make your heart harder and increase feeding intervals... also keep a bowl of crushed seeds inside the cage. When they feel hungry, then they will start trying seeds.

Usually, the mother bird will get nervous when we keep the baby outside the breeding box or also get nervous when humans come close to the chicks. But in my case, the mother bird and me together take care of the baby. Mother bird is soo cool with our presence.

Hi...

You can get an incubator with auto turning facility from Amazon for 35 USD. Because turning is very difficult to do manually.

Total incubation is 26 days 37.3 degree celcious all 26 days Humidity 50% Day 1 to 21 Stop egg rotation motor after 21 days and increase humidity to 80%. Also spray 40 degree celcious warm water 5 to 6 times a day.

Hatching eggs with incubator is easy compared to feeding them in first 10 days. 1 to 5 days need to feed every 2 to 3 hours. Remember that the parent will not take care the chick if it hatch from incubator. So replace the eggs with mother on 25th day morning

To get a tamed parrot the best option is to get a parrot chick of 1 to 1.5 months old and do hand feeding with formula for 2 to 3 months. The will create the best bond between parrot and you. Training will be soo easy with a tamed parrot. For fast training ways please watch few of my old videos teaching tricks in which i explaind and showed the easy ways. Main point is to know the best treat your bird likes. And feed that treat only when u do training. Training should be not extend more than 10 mints a time. Bird should be in good mood. Its hard to type all. I will add a link of my old video.
