A Single 100 Watt Solar Panel vs Two 60 Watt Panels.
So, in the Real World which would work better, a single 100 watt solar panel or two 60 watt panels hooked together. We'll try to answer that in this video and thanks for watching. TN.Frank Out.

A good alternative to the UV-5R is the UV-82 which has some upgraded features and IMHO a better speaker. CHIRP Legacy Compatible and unlocked(at least mine was) out of the box you can go from HAM to GMRS/MURS without any trouble. If you're looking for an inexpensive GMRS/MURS radio that won't break the bank the UV-82 deserves a look. Thanks for watching. TN.Frank Out.

Thought this was "The One" but had some issues so both radios went back. Wouxun KG-805g is a good, solid GMRS only(with FM Broadcast Radio RX) that I think is a better radio and less expensive. That's the one I'd get over the KG-UVD1P now.

Edostory 200 Watt, 36 Volt Solar Panel with the Pecron E600LFP Power Station.
มุมมอง 43711 หลายเดือนก่อน
Picked up a dedicated solar panel for the Pecron since it needs more voltage than most of my panels will give. The Edostory is a 200 watt unit at 36 volts so plenty of voltage to work with the Pecron MPPT controller. This panel will be only used for the E600LFP since the voltage is higher than my other power stations can take. Anyway, thanks for watching. TN.Frank Out.

Thank you for the comparative analysis! I've always wanted to 'get into' Solar Power, as I live in the Oil Patch here in Central WY, and am now MUCH closer to getting my house clean enough to offer up for sale (trying to move to a more rural locale, in a MUCH cooler clime; Alaska is my goal, but I'm in truly rotten health, so I don't know if this Walking Corpse of mine will allow that, or if I need to move to the Glacier area of MT, which would be my second choice (southern ID is nice, but at only 3,600 ft elevation, there wouldn't be much difference in temps; I've become 'heat sensitive' in my creeping Decrepitude!). I would dearly love to move back to my birth state, but WA has become a Stalinist enclave under Inslee and is about to get much worse when the current AG Ferguson, becomes the new Governor. The entire Left Coast is now Stalinist in the extreme. Anywho, thank you for your hard work and post production efforts (I used to shoot semi-pro Rodeo, 1200-1400 frames a rodeo, so I know what it takes do do good 'post production' work)!!!! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY

So far my R600 v2.0 has worked after using it for a few weeks. I bought the R600 power station and 140 watt solar panel combination off ebay. No solar cable was shipped with the order, even though they advertised it came with one. It took 21 days from the time of purchase for them to send me a cable. Very poor communication. Extremely horrible customer service. They answer emails ( if you get a response at all from them) in the middle of the night once a day.

Have you done any direct comparisons regarding performance versus say the lcr 22lr (or equivalent ), which I have? Already having a snubby 22lr, I honestly question if you’re getting hardly any more performance, penetration, damage while having to pay $800 + dollars for this 351c. I understand the gun is so light, but question if there’s hardly more advantage than that.

    • @TennesseeFrank
      @TennesseeFrank 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I don't have a similar gun in 22lr but from all the tests I've watched online the 22Mag does give more velocity/energy/penetration vs the 22lr. As for price the 351c is closer to $740 which does seem pricey BUT you're talking an all alloy firearm that comes in at around 12oz and gives you 2 extra rounds.

To switch modes on this radio, all you have to do is first press MENU and then TDR. A very handy trick. Agree about not all antennas fitting. And it is worse than just poor reception. The worst part is that it won't transmit. Try Nagoya 701(c). It fits.

Shot some American Eagle 327 FM 100 gr JSP and observed the primers to be flattened and the cases were difficult to extract; also shot some Federal 32 H&R M 85 gr JHP Personal Defense and the cases were easy to extract and the primers appeared normal.

Saw this inexpensive scope at Cabela's tonight ... Light traffic at the store so I was able to take plenty of time and compare it to about ten other "budget" scopes there back to back ... Appears to be a great little scope that comes with a sturdy mount and made by a big name scope manufacturer. Which one, no idea? Here are my thoughts... Pros: - 1x is very clear, with very very little fish bowl effect, and, in store with lights everywhere, the reticle was very bright and quick to draw your eyes to - 1x has a very generous eye relief and eye box. This optic would be excellent for CQB use, almost red dot clarity and speed - 4x seems to be true 4x magnification. Glass remains clear and field of view doesn't shrink to nothing, like most 1-8x scopes. Eye relief and eye box tightened up considerably, but nothing like most 1-6, 1-8, and 1-10 scopes - Magnification ring is very smooth and easy to rotate - Mag ring rotates the best way, with 1x on the right and rotated left to increase to 4x. With a lever installed it wouldn't be poking your man-boobs when slung up - Diopter rotates smooth but has enough resistance to not shift out of focus while under normal use - Elevation and Windage are capped (good thing) and rotate just fine. Sure they're not $2k scope quality, but they get the job done for set it and forget it, infrequent use - Compact size, just over 10" long and doesn't feel too heavy, even with the included mount, which appears fairly rugged. Shorter than the 1-6x version Cons: - Mag ring should have a small throw lever included to make quick adjustments - The overly large "Cabela's" and "AR" badging. Nothing a little American flag sticker, or some black paint, or permanent marker couldn't tone down. I prefer subtle or spartan appearance - The stadia lines below the reticle are illuminated as well, which is fine for 1x quick reticle acquisition, but not preferable for longer range shots, and 700 yard stadia lines, without windage, is highly optimistic for a 4x scope - Limited magnification would limit me to want to shoot beyond 200 or 300 yards Summary: Glass clarity and generous eye relief and eye box at all magnification levels makes this a great little scope, and way more forgiving than most of the other budget 1-6 and 1-8 scopes they had (Sig, Vortex, Firefield, etc). The Burris RT6 had a little better clarity at 6x, but this little scope had better eye relief and a better 1x. The only "budget" scope they had that I thought was better in all regards was the PST II. But that's a 5-600 dollar scope. I preferred the 1-6x Strike Eagle reticle for long range and overall, but for $149, this little scope (with included mount) might be the best value budget scope out there. If you're shooting 25-300 yards and want some decent glass for your money, I don't think there's much or anything that beats this little scope. I'm seriously debating picking one up? I was highly impressed for the money!

IMO… I would always get a radio capable of being unlocked to ham and gmrs. In a real world emergency you do not need a license to use a ham frequency. So why not have one radio that could be used for all frequencies. I recently bought a Retevis RA 89 and really like it. It’s 9.5 watts so it gives you a little more power plus it is USB c charging. It is a ham radio but can easily be unlocked for all the other bands as well. It is also a very clean ( no spurious emissions) radio. I have both my GMRS and ham license WRQC674 & KO4PIH…. great video, keep up the good work

    • @TennesseeFrank

That's one reason for the inexpensive UV-5R's in my collection. Unlocked I can TX on any frequencies from 130MHz to 174MHZ and 400MHz to 520MHz. I do plan on picking up a couple usb-c batteries for them in the near future. The V2 is locked down by BTech to TX on GMRS only but it can receive on UHF and VHF which is fine.

I really like this pistol. The grip is small enough to conceal but big enough to control. 10 rounds is plenty for my needs and PSA is making a 15 round Mag that's comparable with the stock Mag release. Plus it's a Glock so there's a ton of aftermarket for it.

I've got the 856 3 inch Tungsten , tried these grips and a couple others. Liked the original small wood grips it came with , just shot better.

I have large hands so for me I need a bit more grip to grab. The rubber grips that came on the gun were just too small and didn't spread out the recoil very well.

Yeah I get it , the original wood grips fit me better. This one was too fat and felt less comfortable. The tiny rubber ones were a joke 😂

I've got the V2.0 R600 and I keep getting 07 and 10 errors. The V2 has a smaller fan, and it isn't cutting it. I had thoughts of using this as a UPS for my freezer. Not going to happen now because low wattage AC loads cause it to alarm out. Never does it under high AC input or output, or any DC input or output. So what I am thinking is that the hysterhesis is not set correctly. High current lots of air and reliable, low AC draw seems to heat up the fets and the thermistors are not catching the change... heat builds on the AC side until it goes over temp and shuts down.

IF you can afford to pick up the Edostory 200w/36v solar panel(they're on sale for a pretty decent price right now on Amazon) you could do like I did and get the Pecron E600LFP for $299 and have a much better unit, 1200 watts/614mah and not have all the issues.

@@TennesseeFrank Sadly in some ways, I am in the UK, I don't mind the taxes and such, I just wish I could get that E600LFFP with UK style sockets. I'm not a great fan of adaptors to change one socket style to another. Overall though I agree with what you had to say in your video. When I was living in the States, it was easy to get Pecron gear, but I never did lol.. having said that 120V is no good over here.
