I like your explanations
Very beneficial & worthwhile! Learn about the importance of being super consistent with immediate reinforcement. Other info includes the concept of modelling and the use of praise. Although not all students desire praise - it can have a ripple/spill over effect. Other key tips include enhancement and reductive procedures. Valuable info to aid educators!
I liked the info on "shaping" - which involves taking small steps to ultimately lead to improved behavior. Also helpful, was the suggestion to use the term "withholding attention". This creative term provides a better impression than simply stating "ignoring bad behavior". While communicating with parents, it is important to be careful with wording in addition to using tact and diplomacy. An effective educator strives to gain the cooperation of the parents as partners working together for the success of the student.
I laghed at the part where you talked about the dog getting a treat for being a good boy!
Very clear & well-explained! Great tips and guidance for future teachers and professional educators already working in the field. Besides other topics Liz offers great suggestions of how to handle conflict. A few mentioned involved such tips as speak softer and slower, mention that it is possible to arrive at a fair resolution, take a break to recover thoughts, breathe!! and other great tips! Very worthwhile for only 15 minutes of tie investment. Precious to the second-no wasted moments. Great instruction!
John Galvin Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it! :)
