Here is FDNY engine 3 responding to 2 separate calls, (one cardiac, and one EMS) E-3 is in a 2009 Seagrave Marauder (Ex E-221) You will notice that E-3 has an odd sounding siren. It is an EQ2B but has been slowed down, and has a lower pitch and different wind down. Enjoy!

Why do use firefighters take so long to respond? I don't want to sound like a dick but here in Poland 60 seconds is a must.. even as a volunteer we respond in less then 5 sometimes 7 after we get the call (road from home to fire station)
Depends what the call is. Working fire we’re quick. Auto alarm we’re not rushing. We can read the notes from the dispatcher on the computers.

They show the response but let’s see what they actually do on the scene. Most of the time nothing but walk around trying to look good.
Because there was no fire, or emergency. Think before you speak.

Foam 127 was in a spare again? how many calls does that unit get per year?
Dear FDNY, please buy a separate truck which can carry pumps and wet vaccum cleaner and other materials to respond to these calls. It's quite unnecessary to respond wirh pumpers amd ladders to a water leak when they are not built to carry these equipment. Do like Sweden and invest in a "salvage unit/residual value unit" to solve these problems

I'd like to hear what the fire marshal will have to say about this idea

I know this is a 2004 Seagrave but I can’t tell if this is the old 79 Truck or which ladder company it belonged to before becoming a spare

Is the driver sounding the train horns?
Pretty sure they gave the train horns to the frontline R2. If you mean the normal horn, the driver has a horn button in the middle of the steering wheel, but the officer has a horn pedal by his foot.
