MOST COMPACT COLLAPSABLE CAMP STOVE // UBERLEBEN STOKER STOVE
In this video I demonstrate the UBERLEBEN STOKER STOVE. This is literally a stove that could fit in your pocket. This stove comes with a ferro rod for lighting the fire.
This is a handy little stove that can easily fit in a day pack. I recommend bring some dry kindling to get it started but once it gets going it really pumps out some good heat.
A couple of things to keep in mind: the stove will be dirty after burning, make sure you have plenty of material to burn and there will be hot embers that fall through the bottom.
This is a fun and effective stove that could come in handy on your next adventure.

For the purpose of this demonstration i wet the striker and tinder bundle to see how they work when wet. The end result was good with t...
LAKEFRONT CAMPING BELOW FREEZING // PROPANE HEATER // ASMR
มุมมอง 74721 วันที่ผ่านมา
In this video I continue testing out my cold weather camping gear, including the Buddy propane heater. I had a beautiful lakefront spot. The winds died own and the stars were amazing as the lake was like glass. I turned the heater on when I initially entered the tent to take the dampness out of the tent. My sleeping bag was plenty warm as it is rated to minus 16 degrees celsius. During the nigh...
Can Propane Heaters REALLY Keep You Warm in Sub-Zero Temps?
มุมมอง 5Kหลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I test the Little Buddy Heater for the first time. The forecast was to go down to -2 Celsius with a chance of flurries in the morning. The heater works very well, especially in a small space. I left some vents open and had a fan going to be safe with the heater burning. I didn't need the heater throughout the night as my sleeping bag was warm enough, however this was a good test f...
CAMPING GEAR REVIEW // OUTIN NANO COFFEE MAKER
มุมมอง 169หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I team up with OUTIN to test the NANO ELECTRIC ESPRESSO MACHINE. This is my first portable battery powered coffee maker as I typically use a camp stove or Jetboil to heat the water. Initially I was quite impressed with the quality as soon as I opened the box. There is an easy step-by-step guide provided and it really is user friendly. One of the best features of this unit is that ...

5 Minute Tarp Shelter That ANYONE Can Set Up // FALL HIKE in the RAIN

LAKEFRONT ROOFTOP TENT CAMPING

In this video I find a beautiful lakefront campsite and enjoy a quiet evening camping. I found this online and booked it last minute. The winds were strong when I arrived but calmed down later in the evening and I was able to enjoy a nice campfire. G...
AMAZING TARP POLES for $60 CDN // EVEREBEAM
มุมมอง 4562 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I unbox and set up a new set of proper tarp poles. For the last year I have been using some DIY poles from a broken pop up gazebo. The "homemade" poles worked ok but were limited to the hight that they could be adjusted to and were still quite long when fully collapsed. I purchased the EVERBEAM tarp poles on Amazon for $60 Canadian. These new poles are lightweight, strong and comp...

I love the video cuts when it gets to the difficult to the assemble part, very subtle
If you are ever looking to join up with a group of people who roll the Gravel routes and some light overlanding in the Ottawa Valley let me know. Ran from the US border to Pembroke back in July all on the sled trails.
Uberleben is my first stop for ferro rods and I love the kettle pot they make in titanium, I used it every day for months.
You need a little buddy for that area
Just a test
You don't need to buy this, you can buy a bic lighter and save 20 bucks.
True, until the lighter gets wet or runs out of fuel.
@adventurelife1972 easy to dry off and the striker still gives off sparks. That zippo only has so much flint, and the fuel evaporates quickly.
You got a little tinder there
Cool video! I just made one that is very similar which might be in or around the same area.
Just checked out your channel, nice rig...and pooch. Where are you located? Might see you out there. Cheers
@@adventurelife1972 thanks! I'm also in the 613. Ottawa to be exact.
@doghousexpeditions nice, I’m in Ottawa also, west end
@@adventurelife1972 small world! I'm in the east end.
@@doghousexpeditions I'm always up for an adventure, it would be cool to meet up with another 613. Question... were did you get the sleeve for your ladder, I need that for my pooch.
Thanks for the video!
$139.00 no thanks
I have this same tent and I love it. I manage to survive a thunderstorm almost every time I go out. Worth the extra weight for the size and durability.
Colds cold, I get it. But you Canadians and your ‘sub zero’ camping videos! Sub zero freedom units is cold. Sub zero canadastans is spring camping:-) I’ve yet to try a buddy heater. I do like running my heating pad in the bag off the power station. For the ‘below freezing’ nights.
Nice Titan! I too have a Titan (2021 PR) that I'm planning to outfit with a RTT, so I'm watching with interest as your rig comes together!
So far I am liking the set up. Next plan is working on a possible slide out try/kitchen area. One thing at a time. Thanks for watching !
Hi, just found your video. Are you still using them and what’s your thoughts now? Thanks for the videos. I really enjoy them. 👍 keep them coming.
Depending on my tarp set up, but yes they are very handy and work well. Thank you for watching !
not a good source of heat for a tent
Why? I've tent camped in the winter and used both a Mr. Buddy and a Big Buddy. Both being used in basically a 2 season tent. I will be using my Big Buddy in the house hooked to a 20lb tank augment my heat.
Ive used my Mr Heater Big Buddy in -17 degrees. They work. BUT the byproduct is moisture. So if you are going to camo in those temps in a tent with a propane heater it will get wet and ice up. A Diesel heater will work a ton better for longer use because its a dry heat.
That is a good point, I haven't used a diesel heater yet but its on the list of gear to try. Thanks for the info.
Appreciate your review with the Buddy Heater. I've had good luck with mine, it just gets too hot sometimes and really can run through the propane. I wish they had an option to let it just sip fuel.
I agree, a "simmer" setting would be nice lol. Thanks for watching.
This item was just brought to my attention earlier last week. I’m not going to wait on picking this up. Thanks for the video
Just what I didn’t know I wanted. Thank you
Very handy, easy to use.
As with most of these portable "espresso" makers, they are waaaay to ridiculously priced. Then they want you to pay extra for a kit that should be included.
What R rating mattress would you recommend for cot for winter considering its of the ground
@@checker3694 The general rule for R rating is…R1-2 for summer, R3-4 for fall and R5-6 for winter, R6 for very cold and directly on the snow. Even though you are elevated on a cot the cold will still be there, I would recommend R4-5 but you would have to test it out yourself, preferably in a safe environment like your yard where you could go in the house if needed.
@adventurelife1972 Thanks for that, good information.
Loved this. I remember the good old days when I had the basics. It’s amazing how much gear one accumulates over the years.
Use some suckers so you can move the tarp back and have more coverage over yhe tent
Hello 👋 jambo rafiki am from Kenya 🇰🇪 I want to start camping

@@StephenKoshal-d7f Well it depends on what you have and what you need. I recommend looking for used items to begin.
Great thumbnail 😊
Woo camping!! Happy fall, from Michigan
Cheers Michigan, thank you for watching !!
Depending on your back a air mattress is not for everyone I have a spastic nerve in my back and I have to have a more firm place to sleep without waking up with back pain. So a cot will work better for me but that’s also a higher cost etc
It’s cold. True Canadian attitude. Eh!😊 Krank up the heat. Dude. Yummy omelette. Kool on the sequence. Interesting. Thanks.
Cheers, appreciate the positive response, thank you 🙏
I've also started feeding my ducks "Scratch & Peck Feeds Chicken and Duck Feed, 16%, Soy and Corn Free, Organic" from Azure Standard. They seem to really like it.
This is awesome
Thank you kindly!
Thank you for the informative and helpful video. Ill be camping for the first time soon so im excited! thank you again for the help.
I'm excited that you are going camping! Hope you have an awesome trip. Any little thing I can do to help people get out and enjoy nature, especially in a tent. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
I do the same thing, only I use a pool noodle on the hatch door!!!!
At 9:16 you need to press in the suction cup on the middle stub thingie and with a different finger or hand flip the switch, but keep pressing in the suction cup on that little stub when you do that. Than you have a good seal and it won't come off.
I highly recommend if possible always use a air pump if you can. Blowing up that blue sleeping pad by mouth will cause condensation and eventually turn your inside gross and moldy quick.
Great point, I normally do, I was demonstrating how easy it is to fill by mouth. I will mention it in a future episode. Thank you !
I was all hot to trot for a rooftop tent (knowing only that they looked cool) until I watched this video. That plan is now in the trash can. On a brighter note, I had never heard of a double high air mattress. That is my new plan along with a better tent that does not say Ozark Trail in the corner. THANKS!!
I’m glad it was helpful !
The biggest con of the rooftop tent is that they are glued to your vehicle. This means that you always need to be mindful of the extra weight and wear and tear from it being with the vehicle 24/7. It also limits where you can setup camp. It's an expensive option that gives you less options. You can also buy ground tents that setup in 3 min or less. I've also seen people that have rooftop tents get stolen while they were parked in the city, thats a big loss of money.
I think a "con" is a stretch as I can easily remove it at any time, which I do to load kayaks. The tent doesn't weigh any more than an average adult so the wear and tear is no different then a passenger. The tent is locked to my rack which is locked to the truck so I am less concerned about theft. I have found more remote and nicer areas to enjoy that provide more options. Happy camping regardless if you are on the ground or on the roof. Cheers.
What brand mesh tent is that your are using and would you recommend it? There are so many options of there to pick from
Great Video. I am now subscribed and binging your videos. I am in the same journey. I am putting other a truck camping set up as well. So all your videos has been really helpful. I can definitely recommend a cargo net and if you don't have tie down point, adding some tie down points in the bed. The cargo net has been a game changer. I would have never guessed a simple item would be so effective.
Thank you for watching, I'm glad the videos are helpful. I have a full cargo net set up, I showed it in one of my videos, great suggestion though. Cheers.
@@adventurelife1972 Nice. I’m still catching up on your video. What is your set up for internet? Or do you usually do a offline camping or rely on mobile coverage? I was looking into Starlink, I’m not sure if you have a video on it already. Love to hear your thoughts
Brilliant vid as always, so informative. I fancy getting one of these roof tents since I started watching your vids but they are expensive here also. The spots you camp in are just beautiful. Thanks for all the info. Much appreciated! 🙏❤🏴
That you for the response, it is a nice spot, definitely go there again !
Look for used ones. There are some nice new ones for 800-1500.
@coreyclarke1604 Send me a link for one at that price and I will add it to the description.
@@coreyclarke1604 I have been looking for used but people are selling them not far off retail price but I'll keep looking. Thank you!
@@adventurelife1972 brands at that price: San Hima, Naturnest, Inspired Overland.
Great run-down. Too often it's a "which is better" approach when I think the truth is, the answer is often situational, depending on what you're looking for, who is going, where you're going, etc. Nice discussion of the differences to help someone make a decision.
Thank you kindly, that was my thought, just to give an idea what to expect. Cheers !
Are you camping buy your house?! 6:49 😁😁😁
