The best arrangement for the best og track. After getting these tracks in DRDR I kinda wish they'll be featured in a possible DR2 remaster too. Happy Flight and Reflection in the Window are really great tracks by themself.

This is a perfect encapsulation in audio form about how they just didn't get it. This rendition of mall music 3 just sounds too uppity and whimsical, goofy and Christmas like. It's very clear that the Chinese devs working on this outsourced slop just didn't understand dead rising 1. They thought dead rising 1 was this goofy hack and slash, but in reality it was very eerie and ominous and desolate and tense, with aggressive zombie hordes, unforgiving and harsh game mechanics and subtle but liminal saudade mall music. Everything was more subtle and refined, judicious and selected. Here it just feels so... Unrefined. "what's dead rising? Oh that goody hack and slash zombie game that is as goofy as a cartoon?" that was probably what the devs believed dead rising was. But it wasn't. They ruined it, and anybody saying the game is great will buy anything with a shiny new coat of paint on it without question and call it great. The only people that critique the game are the "anti-woke" crowd, but as far as I'm concnerend censorship is the least of this games issues. The patronizing dumbing down of the zombies AI the lack of innate difficulty, problem solving and unforgivingness that the original had is now gone. That's a much bigger issue. Imagine a survival horror game without the anxiety of survival and the lack of tension in the horror aspect? That's dead rising deluxe DEMASTER. Perfect for people who hate games, hate challenge, hate good creative vision and hate the finer details and polish that made dead rising so legendary. Great job Capcom, outsourcing this legendary title to some trashy Chinese company who's only accolades was RE: Verse, glad to see you're hungry for money again, quantity over quality. I hope crowbcat comes around soon and destroys this game, there's simply too much to pick apart in this trash heap. This is another dead rising 4 all over again, but because gamers have no standards and have become complacent in 2024 anything and everything is a masterpiece. If dead rising 4 released today these same shills would be calling it a "masterpiece" LOL, could NEVER be me.

The ONLY person who isn't kissing this games rear end. The game isn't very good, hell it isn't even objectively better than the original. It's pathetic. It looks and sounds worse. Ughh

So I just finished everything, the only remaining achievement left for me is saint. The biggest glaring issue for me is how slow the megabuster is... And the mini chainsaw while fast is now slow enough between swings where a zombie can grab you. These two things were a huge negative change for me it feels so awkward speed running this game...

The RE engine IS the MT Framework engine from my understanding. It started at MT and they overhauled it I to the new RE engine with making of resident evil 7. The old MT Framework engine can still be seen in certain aspects of the modern RE engine.

Censorship and awful voice acting aside; No blood splattering on Frank, less zombies than the original game, the realistic lighting / “grey filter”, plus lowering the overall difficulty a LOT just showed me they didn’t understand what made the original game good. There’s also no echo in the mall when people speak, so all cutscenes sounds VERY awkward even when the voice acting manages to not be terrible. Also, they added new facial animations in cutscenes, but kept the same exact 18 year old body animations for the cutscenes so they just look awkward as hell …and the cultists no longer pray…… really? They’re cultists…

As a diehard fan of the original which I have been playing for over 11 years and have gotten all achievements on all 4 versions of this game. my thoughts on this Remakster are pretty positive personally, I have my fair issues with things such as audio like you stated, Ive noticed zombies being less aggressive and their spawns being a bit buggy. and some of the performances are a not as good as the original. But I've found a great deal of things I also appreciate SPOILERS you're now able to spare and somewhat save Thomas if you choose to save him last when you kill the hall family, SPOILERS OVER there are some very nice attention to details with things such as weapons degrading when they break, beta assets, and its nice to see such things like Jo, and other things you'd assume would be "censored” still kept in I may disagree with a lot of your points in this video personally but I feel like I learned a new perspective on this game with you. I hope you see this and are able to reply because I'd love to discuss with you, more flaws you see in DRDR as I personally have been enjoying it greatly I most likely wont prefer it over the original as I've been playing it for years but a new touch up on DR1 was something I wanted I'm much more tolerable on changes such as character designs, voice performances, and etc. I will agree though removing vietnam from cliff is something I do not like and erotica being removed is a bummer, It isn't enough to ruin how I feel about the game entirely and regarding Larry I'm fine with the change personally, he still has the same role, same dialogue, same story beats, only difference is his model which still retains some essence of his nationality such as his clothing have the meat kanji on it, referencing his nationality and how he had the meat tattoo on his neck. I hope to discuss our differences more if possible as I enjoy seeing a new perspective on something.
