Fremantle isn't a suburb of Perth. It's a stand alone port city in it's own right and has been for a long time. When I moved back to WA after 23 years in Queensland and saw how Fremantle had changed, I wanted to live there. When I moved east in 1977, Freo was a typical port town - dirty, dark and dangerous at night, but apparently, hosting the America's Cup changed all of that.
It's FREmantle, not FREEmantle

Just found your channel, congratulations on the videos of Perth and Fremantle and enjoying our great state. My daughter lives and works in Fremantle, and is definitely a very chill place to be 👍 Hopefully you are both surviving the heat a bit better these last couple of days!
"Dying in the heat"..... 34⁰ was a nice cool day compared to the following 41⁰c days that would have followed! Those temps in Perth was just a little taste of the START of Summer 🌞 January/February it should start actually heating up a bit! Luckily it's a "dry heat" 😂 Stay cool, stay safe and enjoy your time here in the Wild West.

Guys, those Yankee caps you're wearing are absolutely useless in the Aussie sun. All they do is make you feel hotter. Get yourselves a proper hat with a broad brim. Chronic sunburn and skin cancer are a big thing here, and don't forget the sunscreen, it's the only thing between you and skin cancer.
Loaded up with Sunscreen and buying proper hats tomorrow. Cheers
@@HeatherandDavidcover those shoulders and your neck as well. A proper shirt with open collar. Sunscreen isnt the best defence on your shoulders and neck except for short periods. Most of us wear UV proof shirts in the water too (rashies). Easiest way to spot a tourist here is by the severity of their sunburn. Im a sandgroper but when i lived in sydney i met a pom who got drunk and fell asleep on bondi beach. By the time he woke up the next morning one side of his face was lobster red, the other side untouched. And the east coast sun is way more forgiving than the west coast sun. Also, heat exhaustion is a serious thing. You dont want that. It will ruin your day. And the next day. But, behind drowning, heat stroke is the second biggest killer of tourists in the west. People from colder climates are usually 100% unprepared fir the hazards of desert conditions.
