Synthesizer Live Performance #008 -Instrumental / Electronic Music / synth EDM / rock / pop
"Time Hunter" - an original song performed live in one take. Electronic Music, synthesizer, pop, rock, EDM genre? A song about the passage of time and how to make every second count until the last one. How until our last moment we continue to muse, think deeply, contemplate and plan the next project and journey.
In the song "Time Hunter" I begin with a new synth, the Yamaha Reface DX using its pristine FM sound and design. Then using a sequence from the Korg Electribe 2 Blue all custom sounds and beats.
All effects are coming from the instruments only this time.
Still keeping in the theme of inexpensive synths, again a very simple set up of two instruments costing $700 total.
Song "Time Hunter": composed, performed, recorded and filmed by SEO (Synthesizer Explorer Orchestra).
Copyright 2017 song. Copyright 2024 video.

Testing the piano quality of the Yamaha DGX-670 using two songs, one very dynamic and another song very soft and ambient. The first song "Blue Blue Whoo Jazz" is loud and hard and soft passages too. The only time you can actually hear the piano's delicate textures is when the piano is played very slow and soft allowing the notes to ring out. The second song is just that, very soft and slow. Designed a very unusual patch for the Gaia, so it is sitting just about where I want it in the mix. It may depend on your listening device too, what are you using to listen to the music?

I don't understand what you are asking of me? I am not a critic of music, I don't judge others music. Music to me is not a contest with winners and losers. I am not looking to make money from my music, or wish to get involved in the financial aspects of music. This channel is about the purest form of music in our little community of TH-cam synthesizer artists, the pure act of creation and sharing it with others.

@@simgeakdogu I can either make a video instructing how to make the settings, or just send the settings in a file that you would load onto your keyboard as a user preset. The settings for my pianos are not the simple setting made in the "Piano Room" menu page. You can go deeper in designing a sound if you don't use the Piano Room.

YES! There are thousands of different digital pianos out there today to choose from, but no problem, the only one to buy is the Yamaha DGX-670. The only downside to this piano is the action of the keybed, while it is very good, for anyone wanting to venture into classical music and highly complex intricate high skilled scores, you will need to spend more and get into the home piano/furniture Clavinova CLP series of pianos. But for the masses of people wanting to play piano for the first time, or for the non-classical seasoned professional, this DGX-670 is the piano to own. I am soooooooo very happy with mine. I have owned dozens of digital pianos since the 1980s, they were all just something to practice on, but not enjoyable to listen to or play. The Yamaha DGX-670 is the very FIRST digital piano I enjoy playing and listening to. (Been performing on piano for 57 years).

@@darrickreyes1240 I can't read or write music on a pro level, I can sight read and play at the same time, but only on very simple scores, and very slow. I must memorize a score before I can play it properly. I think I have a leaning disability that prevents me from learning to read music. I have always been a very slow written word reader too, and had lots of problems getting through school. So for music I compose all my own songs and memorize, but rarely play anyone else's songs. I can type at 50wpm however.

Absolutely everything I do with this synth fails and I have to backtrack and figure it out. Even pedal assignments are completely UN-intuitive and off the wall. Most difficult synth I have used in my life of 40 years with synths. Read the manual 5 times now, very little video help unless you speak German. When I get to the bottom of VAST I will make a full set of english tutorial. videos!
