I had this exact ting happen last week, an underwater branch through a scupper hole under my crate. I was in 10 feet of water and fought for 12 minutes before I got loose. Broke my transducer mount during all the action.

Great year Justin! I was hoping you could recommend a great wake bait. You definitely have experience throwing the wake bait and I would love to try one. No one in my area seems to use them so I’m hoping it will be something the ass haven’t seen much of. Heck, I can’t even find any in the local tackle stores.

Dude, I was there for the tournament, and I can feel your pain. I lost one fishing as well a few years ago, unable to recover. I now tether everything! Nice save though!

I saw you catch that last fish lol. That area held a lot of fish.

Good stuff buddy. I launched at the same ramp and fished the same waters both days. Day one I didn't fish clean and only got 4 in the kayak. My day 2 was better but still didn't break 90 and culled 5 times lol. In practice I caught an 18 and 21 off that group of old dock post you got stuck on. Nothing on either tourney days. Caddo is awesome.

I hate that same thing happen to me with a stump. I got hung up and couldn't get it off with just a trolling motor or paddling. The only difference is I was in 24 ft of water. I rock it back and forth until it finally came a loose.

Wow what a way to stay and grinded out till the end that was a tough start sometimes our loved ones is all we need to kick start our day! Caddo lake that body of water have alligators if it fires you a stronger man than most men most people!! lol awesome job sir some of the greatest kayak anglers you were competing with today that’s an accomplishment in itself! I fish this lake most weekends and it can be the best fishing a man could hope for one day and the hardest fishing of your life the next but what never changes is the Beauty of Caddo Lake!
