@@RichardHaney-h5b no cerakote is to be used directly to all metals, plastics, glass and wood. Any coating between the main surface and cerakote will alter the adhesion and durability.

Its no kit it's a professional level of high quality materials used with commercial equipment that is available for businesses. Some companies offer dip kits that only work on small projects but will only last on parts for a short time. Professional grade materials for businesses will last for many years and we offer warranties on the parts we dip.

The materials we use are the best available in the market from the paint, graphics and clear coat thats chemical and scratch resistant. We love cerakote also but to be honest they are equally durable. To cerakote stencil the bottom land design will be in the $450ish range but for the Hydrographics $250. The seams are usually not noticable if you do it right. Some films don't like to be stretched and when you try to roll or dip both sides at one time one side may turn out great and the other be stretched terribly. We find that in most cases it looks much better when we dip both sides separately.

I honestly could not tell you how long it will last with heavy use. All i can say is we have been in business for 12 years and not had a single customer complain. We put our guns through harsh outdoor weather and terrain hunting and the coatings are holding up. I only use the highest quality materials for our customers projects. No need in removing the barrel since everything is being coated the same color. Plus lowers the risk of changing chamber head spacing causing possible accuracy change.
