What I agree on is that Persona 1 and 2 are great, they have this mature feeling to them, its a mature RPG and its refreshing. But i'd suggest to play Persona 2 Eternal Punishment on original console or PS2

Do the old Persona games not have the day passing mechanics and dating sim stuff? I find those a waste of time since I never cared about the characters in P3 and 4, and having to do chores to advance the story just feels meh

I completed Persona 1, Persona 2 Innocent Sin and now playing Eternal Punishment. Trying my best to at least get the good endings.

My uncle has a psp go that he gave me when I was younger he had both persona 2 games in case and he handed them to me along with a random racing game he told me not to play persona 2 but as all 5 year old kids do they get curious and see what it is I didn’t know who hit-er was at the time and in game he was called fuh--r and I didn’t know what that meant so for a week I ran around saying fuh-r

I started with Persona 1, and am now going through Persona 2 Innocent Sin. Absolutely loving the series so far.

The "dying" section works quite perfectly for Hollow Knight too Except of course that your shade won't vanish on its own

I want to play p2. But gosh darnit the battle system is so annoying. The battle is so complicated and I can't grasp it. I'll keep on trying though, I know it's one of the best in the franchise. I'm loving the characters so far aswell.

Now you kind of have to emulate them cuz they're all gone. Or buy digitally if you own a psp. But who knows how long they'll let you have access to it. Even after you legally purchase it...

I have questions guys. I have psp, ps2 and ps3 Firstly, I finished persona 3 fes both the journey part and the answer part. (It was so hard as hell especially, the answer part.) Now, I am playing persona 5 in ps3 I have persona 1, persona 2 innocent sin and persona 2 eternal punishment in my psp. I really want to play persona 1 and 2 (both), I want to feel dark themes in those games but I have worries. I do not think about story part, my concerns are about game mechanics and dungeons. I really love persona games but in persona 3 fes, tartarus was really boring for me. I mean there are lots of parts and floors in tartarus. So I was sicked of it. Are there goes same for persona 1 and 2 (both)? I mean, are dungeons boring? I don't want to disinclined by games. Like I said in persona 3, tartarus was really bad designed imo. So should I play persona 1 and 2 (both innocent sin and eternal punishment) ?

i just started playing 1 and its been great, the only other game i played before it was 3 and its cool to see the evolution of the games. they definitely need to remake these someday. also 1s soundtrack is amazing

Great video. It might be too late for me to ask this question since you haven't made a video in a year but.... When I played persona 3 on the PSP the cutscenes were changed to still frames & I didn't have direct control of the main character outside of tartarus. Do you know if there's anything like that going on in the PSP versions of the 1st 2? And if so is there a particular platform you recommend I use, that won't cause me to have an OCD seizure?

Persona 2 I kinda get the recommendation for. I have yet to really play it beyond a playthrough of IS that I feel I botched (I wasn’t invested as much as I should’ve been). And P1 was my first Persona game, but I never beat it. Honestly I keep thinking I should play P1 and 2, and P2 seems fun enough that I can deal with it. But Persona 1 is on another level with its design. I think it has an interesting story, but I kinda hate the gameplay tbh. Ik this is a common complaint but I just find it so bland. I think P2 hasn’t aged great either, but there are some things about its gameplay that feel rewarding, like fusion spells and persona mutations. Dungeons feel more pleasant to explore, and while I don’t care much for demon negotiation in P2, getting new personas felt kinda nice. It has enough improvements to be playable and honestly it makes me think that maybe I should just drop the idea of playing P1 altogether and read the manga instead. I heard the P1 manga is actually really good, and based on what I remember, almost seems more canon to P2, as P2 seems to pretend SEBEC and SQQ happened at the exact same time.

As someone who played persona 2 before persona 3 was even launched I had a different reaction from most of persona fans I see. I kinda disliked persona 3...A lot. Not being able to control each party member,no demon contact,the cast was very weak in comparison... Yeah,I've learned to like it but my first impression wasn't that good.

Persona fans: persona 4 and 5 are more light-hearted than the first ones. Persona 5: OK, before you enter the first dungeon, how about ATTEMPTED SUICIDE? (Btw I’m playing 3, 4 and 5, so I’m definitely a Persona fan)

To be fair, while Persona 4 is Japanese Scooby Doo, let’s not forget that Persona 3 is pretty much Japanese X-Men lmao

my first jrpg was revelations, so i have a soft spot for it. i love it with all my heart lol, and the story seems more grounded. tadashi is one of the better megaten writers as well, while cheesy, he made dds1 and p2 amazing.

I really despised the encounter rate in Innocent Sin. It singlehandedly ruined most of the dungeons for me. I'm in the end game and I'm only now starting to get used to it.
