    while governments play their country reshuffles they never ask the local taxpaying natives who keep them in jobs if they would like to share their society with a totally foreign culture with vastly different values , a problem still greatly occurring today with the same old results

    Back in the 1800's they hated the Chinese immigrants. But, were thrilled that they worked their butts off for little pay and horrid living conditions to build the east and west railroad lines.

    True history. And it's Exactly what some state governments don't want in the schools. And that's why we don't learn from our past mistakes. They'd rather Bury it, then learn from it.

    Ironic that my father had been stationed in The Philippines during WW II and he often talked about how gracious and welcoming they were to American troops. At the end of his life, he in fact moved into a small private care home when he was needing round the clock assistance and was tended by the owner who was a Filipino male nurse and he clearly felt right at home there.

    People who are raised in bigotry & grow up with hate, don't know any better than to be hateful - Sad but true!! NOwonder, we are faced with Donald Trump as a candidate for Presidency, in spite of his disgraceful record. HE is like THEM & THEY are HATEFUL. Although, many of "US" can't fathom WHAT they see in him or HOW they can condone his misdeeds, we need to remember our history - So full of misdeeds!! There ARE those who know right from wrong, are sorry for the wrongs of their forefathers, willing to redeem, make amends, open their hearts to humility & humanitarianism, because it's the right thing to do & be. But are those good people the majority or minority? We will soon find out in the next election where the true values of this nation lie. If there is quality in the numbers or we are not quite there yet. Karma is about to come around either way, because Universal Law is not made in the USA - Oh God Help "US" (Pun Intended) - Ahmain🙏!!

    No objections to this film. And yet, how ironic is it that not a single filmmaker or platform dares deal with the rampant anti-white racism we have today.

    • @jeanzeeb7495
      @jeanzeeb7495 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really? Have you looked at virtually every position of power and wealth in this country? White. Male. Racism is about enforcing a system of power in which an advantaged majority enforces it's dominance over a disadvantaged minority. That simply isn't happening in America today. Virtually all wealth and power is in the hands of whites, especially wealthy whites.

    Good short film. Good acting. Great pace--never got bored. Nice to have some aknowledgement to the Filipino community. I'm a Stocktonian, but not a TRUE one. In 1964, I was born at San Joaquin General Hospital, in a little town called, French Camp, about 5 miles south of City Hall. Raised on Grant Street, I was able to enjoy downtown in the 1970's. The Cross-Town freeway, took out most of, "Little Manila." Seen The Fox sign, now The Bob Hope Theatre, really caught my attention. Also, the Stockton Record, on the table brought some nice detail to the film. All of the posters of the famous boxer, "Little Joe," have been taken down. The last standing monument is the, "Filipino Center." Thanks to all who worked on this project.

    Image a school system that taught truthful, accurate history....it would be the story of how racism shaped our society, and still does...the people who want to suppress the truth know that it falls hard on them. The more they try to hide, the more we see their cowardice and their shame. Yes, we see you cowards. And we know of your crimes.

    • @JAI_8
      @JAI_8 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Imagine a school system that taught truthful, accurate history … it would be the story of how a rich predatory oligarchic capitalist ruling class uses any and every divisive tool at its disposal to encourage working people to hate and blame each other for the economic conditions created for them all by the exploitative greedy capitalist economic model that makes the tiny rich minority ruling class richer and richer, while dividing and inciting and impoverishing a large portion of the working people, and only occasionally (from 1945 to 1971 in the USA, for example) permitting the existence of a mostly racially or ethnically homogeneous middle class to share any of the vast wealth generated by the capitalist nation. Race is a convenient idea with which from time to time and in place to place to divide the working class and get them to fight and defeat themselves, rather than see their shared interests and shared oppressor; the wealthy 2% who are the rich ownership class … the owners of the companies they work for. We DO now get to talk about race and racism and identify it for what it is; what we DONT get to do is identify whose interests it really serves and why a portion of the working class gets encouraged by our (rich capitalist) “leaders” to use race to blame their own problems upon, and as a rationale for an economic hierarchy that doesn’t actually economically favor the racial majority in any meaningful way that merits identifying with the rich ruling class, rather than with their fellow working class citizens of other races, religions, genders, sexual preferences, or whatever. What we need is a school system that shows throughout history how the aristocracy (whether by birth or by wealth) cynically employs throughout an variety of racial, ethnic, religious, nationalist, gender, sexuality, political views etc. to divide the massive majority of people they rule over in a struggle to render the common laboring people powerless against their greater wealth, power, and usually their legal monopoly on the legitimate use of weapons and violence in society. The rich and powerful NEED these ideas to control and manipulate the masses in order not to be overwhelmed by our massive majority numbers, and keep their unequal access to wealth, assets, resources, political power, and all the other products that come from living in an organized society. Economic hierarchy is maintained by ideas like race and ethnicity and religion, etc. We should not blame the racist for simply mimicking back what the ruling class relentlessly teaches them and reinforces by laws. We should show how these ideas are the means by which we all are oppressed, and not at all equally. But it times like these with a hollowed out economic middle class it’s crucial to seek for the source of our economic problems not where the rich relentlessly and consistently try to tell us they are. Reject racism and xenophobia and all the other working class hatred spread by the ideology of the rich ruling class and its desperate effort to maintain their rule atop the economic and social hierarchy. Such times as these should make the cynical lies so thin as to be clear in its deception.
