For that reason, it is with great pleasure and pride that I ...
Burning Issues - #63 - Money: A Great Servant, A Terrible Master

This week, a number of times the concept of money was discussed. It's pretty shocking how infrequently we actually talk about this subject open and honestly. I've been doing some thinking and helping a few people this week and I've come up with this analogy. See the problem with this, is that in a prison setting (where everything is ...

The first to put a simple truth in words Binds the world in a feeling all familiar 'Cause everybody owns the great ideas And it feels like there's a big one round the corner Antenna up and out into New York Somewhere in all that talk is all the answers And oh my giddy aunt New York can talk It's the modern Rome and folk are nice to Yoko Every bone of rivet steel Each corner stone and angle Jenga jut and rusted water tower Pillar, post and sign Every painted line and battered ladder building in this town Sings a life of proud endeavour and the best that man can be Me I see a city and I hear a million voices Planning, drilling, welding, carrying their fingers to the nub Reaching down into the ground Stretching up into the sky Why? Because they can They did and do So you and I could live together Oh my God New York can talk Somewhere in all that talk is all the answers Everybody owns the great ideas And it feels like there's a big one round the corner Oh my God New York can talk Somewhere in all that talk is all the answers Everybody owns the great ideas And it feels like there's a big one round the corner Oh my God New York can talk Somewhere in all that talk is all the answers Everybody owns the great ideas And it feels like there's a big one round the corner The desire in the patchwork symphony The desire like a distant storm For love Did it come from me 'Cause it feels like there's a big one round the corner The desire in the patchwork symphony Oh my God New York can talk The desire like a distant storm Somewhere in all that talk is all the answers For love Did it come from me And it feels like there's a big one round the corner The way the day begins Decides the shade of everything But the way it ends depends on if you're home For every soul a pillow and a window please In the modern Rome where folk are nice to Yoko en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elbow_(band)

Great message. Often in todays society our goals can be very ego driven. I agree with this approach, have a general direction of where you want to go and enjoy the journey. When a person is very emotionally attached to a narrow-minded goal, they can't enjoy the journey because achieving the goal is all they care about. It's important to enjoy the process, Love this video.

Charlie! Gut instinct is also the lizard brain and it also therefore has to do with our senses connecting to our age old need for survival (positive or negative)... When we meet someone and fall in love, we are not thinking. Something in the other makes us be attracted or repulsed: look, even smell (I always trust my olfactory sense), later if we become intimate, it's the taste as well, it canb be the timbre of the voice... I love voices, too, they say a lot about a person... Our society is now visually oriented, so we go for looks (important, but it is only one sense)... And no, I don't put watches in my mouth when examining them, or smell them.... But I do listen to the ticktock... (You know who I am,... just anonym., please)
