I remember it differently as a kid. The last time I was there it was 1993. It seems very open now and not a lot of trees. I remember it as a forest with magpies and kookaburras that you could hand feed even though you shouldn't.

Absolute grubs leaving shit everywhere and spoiling a beautiful spot. We caught a few not so long ago leaving tuns and bottles but caught up and dumped in their tray - they acted innocent and were sheepish when I told them we had it all on dash cam. Beautiful part of the Qld coast all seasons to relax , have a couple of bevies and some good tucker! Cheers
