deckies do a good job squeezing all those cars on, looks like a lot of cars when they are lined up. 52 cars I think it is in total.
thank you, looking to book for christmas and this is helpful. We were nervous cause we have a 21ft van
OK just so you understand, We want to know about the camp ground not your tech, we camp fire and hand held solar & Lpg where needed . You are just selling crap we don`t need nor want , please focus on the campground not your bloody sponsors.
Appreciate your feedback Mark, but just an fyi. We don't have sponsors, or make any money from these videos, if you are referring to the king's fire pit, it is a genuine review, we absolutely love it. As for the rest, we just like to show how we go camping and hope it may be useful for some. Our videos won't be for everybody, but that is the beauty of this platform, plenty of other videos to watch. Have a great day 👍
Hi Guys, I am new to your channel just catching up on some videos. I have enjoyed watching your Kenilworth trip. Your van looks great easy to setup, it must be good and light to tow. Continued safe travels 😀
Thanks Darren, Yes, van is amazing to tow, not sure we would have taking a bigger van over to Moreton Island or Fraser 😁
Tranquil Creek 🩵..poor little duck 🦆😅
Will be up there for the end of March 24 Easter Pig on a Spit. Been once before, a long time ago and had a ball. Great detail in this video, thanks so much for the up to date info.
Head away to beautiful moreton Island camping... family all sitting there with their face in their phones. 😂😂😂
She makes some groany old noises haha
That is the traction control. Should have read the isuzu manual, you have to press the traction control button twice to disable it.
How about some details of the site location and the route you drove? Very useful video for someone considering doing this. Thanks
This is an awesome video!! So informative and handy!! Well done
I remember it differently as a kid. The last time I was there it was 1993. It seems very open now and not a lot of trees. I remember it as a forest with magpies and kookaburras that you could hand feed even though you shouldn't.
Great footage.
Going there on the 4th of November for the Freedom Concert oh yes have already experienced Pig on the spit it was fantastic.
Are you going to visit the Lavender farm as well ? 😂 We love these country places, people are lovely and plenty to see.
@@Beached_Van_Life Not visiting Lavender farm my mates would give me grief if I did lol 😆 😅
What camp zone do you recommend with a van? First time with our van, only done tent camping at Teewah.
Hi mate, Depends, we like zone 3 because it is closer to Freshwater and toilets but stay away from zone 2 if you are a family. If you don't need toilet and water, zone 7 is great, especially for a first trip to get your confidence. If you like open grassed areas 7, 4,3 are the best. Check out our other video where we took drone footage of all the zones and find a spot before you go. th-cam.com/video/bIaYN4XCJ-s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=j959deM_gBExqV5u
Most important, pick your tides and good luck and enjoy.
Just disrespectful to everone who uses these beautiful places. I bet those who leave their drap will be the first to complain when they shut these to campers.
This is the problem f/n tourist's
Absolute grubs leaving shit everywhere and spoiling a beautiful spot. We caught a few not so long ago leaving tuns and bottles but caught up and dumped in their tray - they acted innocent and were sheepish when I told them we had it all on dash cam. Beautiful part of the Qld coast all seasons to relax , have a couple of bevies and some good tucker! Cheers
I don't get people mate. They fill up the bins with out lids when the bins with lids have nothing in them. Just lazy 😞
This is really handy, thanks!
Just a tip in case you’re not already doing it and that is to indicate your intention. It could save a head on
Yes, I do indicate, but that doesn't change the facts, road rules apply. He has to pass on my right and i couldn't go any further left. So still not sure what he was thinking. I just think he didn't want to go further up the beach as it was a mess and thought i could go inside him, but i am not a fan of washing my car in salt water 😁
Good video however you haven't said what size inverter you are using for the comparison. It would be useful for me to know. Thanks.
The inverter is a 2kw Renogy inverter. I did mention the size there at one point in the video. Thanks for watching
@@Beached_Van_Lifewe call them campers in the USA lol

I don't quite see it, you have a great imagination 👍

SOooooo...did it WORK????
Haven't had the chance to test it yet. Need to grab some elastic bait thread as a break away, weak link in case a sea eagle decides it looks like dinner or something else goes wrong. Hopefully will get a chance in the next couple of weeks.

Hi guys, I luv my kings fire pit. I’ve done some great camp cookups on it using a skillet plate. Oil yr plate after each cook and it will stay in great condition Cheers Craig Out There Touring
Yes, probably the best value camping addition one could purchase if you get it on sale. Having a decent fire pit is essential. Thanks for the tip 👍
The enthusiasm from the family was overwhelming..................
We love "Tangas" and the Snorkelling is so good!🙌🏽
Was a bucket list item for me 😁
the first 4 minutes of this video will be really helpful for anyone who needs to drive from your house to the micat...
Sorry about that mate, bit of a learning process when it comes to editing and posting vids. I had actually planned to put up a shortened clip of just exiting the Micat and the sand driving, but finding the time is tough 👍
what’s the best tire pressure when driving on the sand? awesome video btw🤙🏽
Thanks Peter, I generally go 18 psi on the fronts and 20 psi on the rear when towing. 20 psi on the van. That is normally a pretty safe combo, but you may need to go lower if the sand is powdery.
Whats with the title? Bit of a click-bait mate.
To be honest, having never been to Moreton Island and towing a caravan, we were extremely worried it may have been really soft and we would struggle to not get bogged. It may sound click baity, but they were serious concerns we had and we even nearly binned the idea of taking the van. Glad we did and hope anybody with the same concerns we had, can watch our vid and see how easy it is. Dragging the van up Teewah is much harder. 👍
