Is there a reason that you didn't buy the charging base? I have it and love it. Once I snap my phone on the quad lock on the handlebars and I start the bike it immediately starts charging. I never have to worry about a dead battery on my phone from usingg the phone as a GPS device and as a player (either Sirius, Apple Music, Spotify, etc.).

I had the gas gage register incorrectly when I left the ignition switch on and filled my tank. Turning it off corrected the problem.

As far as I know the XT does not have a temperature sensor. It gets the weather and temperature through your phone via the Drive app. The problem probably has something to do with location services. I don't know for sure, I have never really messed with it.

There are approximately 60 covered bridges in NH and typically people take turns going through the bridges each way.

Have you talked to Garmin tech support about the temperature issue? To me the fix is to exchange it. Between the phone and the SpYder’s gauge you know the temperature. I pickup my F3 Tuesday so I’ll be filming SpYder videos again. Love these scenic videos

Fortunately for you, you came up here when you did. We have been having high temperatures, humidity and monsoon rains. While there are cities in NH, most are towns in townships.

Have the dealership install a battery tender loop on your battery. There are a number of motorcycle style small compressors that have that type of connector, or you can get an adaptor to change it to an automotive 12 volt. So you can keep your current compressor.

Pikes Peak highway starts out about 7000 feet and goes to 14,115 feet. It is awesome. I have been up it many times. It is a little wider road but the last half going up has some really big drop offs to the side.

Very good video Chris and I am amazed how well you pronounce Husqvarna, as an America. Usually I hear weird things like Huska-varna lol. Some historical facts. Husqvarna is not only a company but a town, which has later been incorporated into the Swedish city Jönköping, in the landscape (something like a Swedish province) Småland) Husqvarna is really 2 words put together. Hus means house, and Qvarna comes from an older spelling of Kvarn which means mill. Now, the town spells with a K today, while the company still spell with Q. Same pronunciation. The Hus comes from a small creek where the company started called Husån. The Qvarn, comes from a mill that was situated by the creek near thr old fortress (borg) called Rumlaborg which was supporting defence from Danish invasions, mostly in the 1400s. It was destroyed in the mid 1500s. Husqvarna is an old company that goes back to 1689 as a rifle / muscut manufacturing company. Cheers from Sweden in NC

Bye the way, I did see the Glider on the Go Pro the first time you saw it on the way up so nothing wrong with the image reporduction. 🙂That ride out was really good and I bet it gets very cold in winter and the road becomes blocked with snow? The only worrying thing was those drops at the side of the road and as you said if you lost concentration or mis judged things then the outcome could be very different! Anyway it's a big thanks for sharing that Chris.

Did this trip several times on road and Cog RR!! Once with a Ford F100 PU truck with 14 people on board!! The Bike looks like more fun!!!

But it would be nice if the spyder rt was electric. The body would be very suitable for the batteries

I had a weird issue on my Spyder yesterday. I put the key in and the bike beeped. After I went past the read me warning page, it said incompatible key. I took the key out and let the computer shut down. Put the key back in, and everything was good. I wonder if this is something I should be concerned with?

I used to live in the nearby city of Franklin NH most of my life before moving back to Rhode Island... Interesting fact about Squam Lake, it was the filming location for the movie "On Golden Pond"

Nice job Chris. Hope to do that someday on the Spyder. Did it in a car once. Have done Pikes Peak, Mt Evans, and the Million Dollar Highway so hope you get west sometime. Enjoy your enthusiasm.

Regarding the Spyder temperature. I purchased my used 2021 last December. I'm riding it out of Casa Grande, AZ. Lately I have taken off for a ride when it's around 85 degrees and am home when it's right around 100. I have not had the temperature of the Spyder rise above 1/2 but if stopped at a traffic signal, the fan starts up and you can definetly hear it.

The cog railway has a cog wheel under the train that grabs a special type rail in the center of the track and the train propels itself on the cog motor. (TH-cam Cog train)

Self powered glider…it’s a glider, but it has a motor and prop that helps it get aloft.(TH-cam powered glider)

Isn’t the temp display on your Garmin coming from your phone through the Tread app? May be that you don’t have your weather app set to “follow me?”

It is an amazing ride, have done with our 4 wheeler SxS and vehicle. Sypder will be this fall. Going up on the Cog railroad is very cool too. But there is no room for In attention there. I am sure you noticed the lack of trees as you go up. The Cog rail cars are built and maintained on site.

You should give the bumper sticker to a viewer, or start a bumper sticker board in your garage…

Lift the seat to check the oil.... You must have never had a VTwin early model. There was a panel that needed to be removed. Also, as far as oil. I do the hot check once. If good, I check when cold, note where it is and keep it there. Good thing, the 1330 basically uses zero oil, at least for my change interval. Your mileage may vary if you follow CanAm 9600 mile interval. ( Dont... just dont)

Chris there is nothing wrong with one more look a the girls in bikinis.

Can Am needs 3 things to refine the RT. Shaft drive. No question about the need for it. Dumping the belt drive, moving to a single sided swing arm and having 4 lugs on the rear wheel to enable tire changes or flat repair removes a big problem. Get rid of whoever is in charge of displays and infotainment. Find a proven pilot interface provider. Apple, Tesla, shoot even Ford or Toyota makes better stuff. And it should come turn key with ACP, AA, and Garmin map updates for life. And for God's sake, dump those stupid Kenda tires. You have "J" rims that will accept auto tires. Contract with Michelin, Conti, or Goodyear and give us something that lasts longer than 6 or 8k. NO ONE WANTS A LONG TOUR INTERRUPTED BY 800 DOLLARS WORTH OF TIRES AT A DEALER.

I would like to comment on this video and suggest that when riding down the Kancamangus Highway your talking about other items was a distraction. What I am saying is sometimes please relax and take a break from talking and let everyone enjoy the ride and amazingly beautiful scenery.. Keep up the great work Chris.

Finished the Kancamagus today! I rode the Goldwing and my wife rode the Sea to Sky. For the last 2,541 miles (started in Texas), I have been on the Goldwing and my wife is following me on the Sea to Sky Spyder. When we got to our hotel, we decided to run to dinner. We left my wing and took her Spyder. Keep in mind the last 2,500 miles I have been on the Goldwing. Wow! What a change! The Spyder is so much more comfortable; not even comparable! I do remember you bottoming out when you pulled out of that Cemetery! It was in one of your earlier videos but I do remeber seeing some very strange looking graves in that area. I think you are right to say shaftdrive and ground clearance would most certainly be a big improvement to the Spyder.
