It's very scary to see yourself and people who you love go down this road...and there's many reasons and ideas behind where it comes from or starts...but I truly believe it's got a lot to do with the normalization of drinking and "partying" (BTW not a party) if I would have saw more God in my childhood than I did drinking maybe things would have been a little different. But I'm 11 years clean and living for what & who I was born to live for. And in the process of getting myself together and opening the door for Jesus I've been blessed with 3 beautiful children and an amazing loving husband and now it's my turn to be the influence my babies need and teach them the way to love life for the gift it is❤

There is no place like S2L. When you step foot on the property you can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. You know that this place has been and continues to be covered in prayer! The first time I called them these are the things that I liked. Christ Centered You’re loved one is assigned a life coach that they meet with once a week plus a licensed therapist that they also meet with once a week. Almost all the guys have been through the program! Then lastly but most important the person on the other end asked if he could pray for me, my family, and my son. That prayer sealed the deal! You will never regret sending your loved one to S2L! Praise God for S2L!

The problem is we all think of Satan as a lower case God. The Bible only mentions two God's. Our father in heaven and Satan. Satan is the God of earth and can give you anything you want on this earth because it is his to give, for a price. The Bible tells us Satan rules hell. It tells us Satan rules earth. It would be safe to say that we all are living in hell. We allow man made religion confuse us. The church has been corrupt for many many years. The Bible tells us to worship on the sabbath which is Saturday and the church tells us to come worship on Sunday. That is a slap in the face to our lord in heaven YHWH. They have create a false God named Jesus. You never translate names. Once you translate a name it loses its meaning. The new testament was written between 50-100ce but the letter J wasn't invented until 1524. How else do you disrespect someone's name? By never saying it. YHWH is never mentioned in the church today. A rabbi told me that YHWH is the sound of a breath. Meaning it's the first thing out of your mouth when you are born and the last thing out when you die.

Powerful story Aaron. When we were in high school especially freshman year I had no idea what you were dealing with. We were just kids and didn’t consider that someone was possibly going through something when they act differently especially towards us. I knew you had it in you that you would someday change. We have came to our senses that there’s so much more to life!

I agree that transformation can only come through Christ. The Holy Spirit gave the twelve steps through a miraculous visitation to the founder... who couldn't stay sober. Just like everything else...Satan has hijacked the program... He has infiltrated the church too... in some ways. That fact does not eradicate the church on the whole. Making judgments that people can't find Christ in twelve steps... You're wrong. I did. The founder of twelve steps knew that shame would keep most people suffering from alcoholism and addiction from entering churches. God had been misrepresented... and some had been abused by those claiming to know God. If you truly work those steps, which are all biblical. by step 12 a huge majority of people find out that the Higher Power is Jesus Christ.(bait and switch) Praise God for those who were miraculously set free from addiction. But for some it's a process.. some people need support and help. Praise God for your podcast.. but don't alienate a whole segment of your audience... of Spirit filled Christ loving believers who have found great relief going to 12 step meetings. We share Christ with those we sponsor. Thank you for your time.

I find myself more and more to intercede on behalf of our men. Weeping and crying out for them to know that they are loved, needed, respected, recognized, held up in prayer.

I'm glad that religion helped you, but I think telling people that ONLY god can fill that hole in people is incredibly dangerous because there are MANY different ways out of addiction and acting like there's only 1 way is very harmful for people trying to get better

Thanks for reacting to Dear Alcohol by DAX. I would argue your comments on the "no one relates" when you said "lie", it is not a lie for me as I was swallowing my pride to ask help to my family and relatives but ending up by being judged (same as Job's friend), so I have to face it all alone although I am not ending this with alcohol. So what you are saying is not always working out for each human, or maybe I have just simply not met the person who can relate. So for me, it is true that no one relates.

Ok I'm loving these guys. But I disagree on how they understood the 3rd singer. That wasnt about pride and asking for help. It's about being denied help, about opening up and being shut down 1 to many times so we stop asking. Man up, stop bein a punk and handle your business. That comes from men and women. That's your job, handle it. If we dont, we get replaced, then next go around we hold it in so we dont run this relationship, which ruins that one cause we dont communicate. Etc. 2 months sober. I really have no desire to drink. I met someone who I feel showed me genuine love. But biggest was wrestling. Wrestling has been my true passion but I remember I couldn’t enjoy raw while trying not to drink when every part of my body was screaming DRINK!!
