God DESIRES everyone to be saved, but foreknew that not everyone would. Some would hear the Word and reject it. Some will never hear the Word and Revelation tells us they will be judged based on their deeds. God knew that not all Muslims, "Christians" (you cannot be saved through false doctrine in a counterfeit chruch), not all Hindus etc. would be saved. God never allowed free choice at salvation, only apart from salvation. Choosing Jesus is a works and the Bible says you cannot be saved by works. You are saved by grace. We know this because the Bible says so in various scriptures. "God chooses you. You dont get to choose Him". God made provision for each of the aforementioned events by choosing the elect before the beginning of time. The chosen ones would all be saved. The Bible tells us that in His timing and place He will draw near to His chosen ones INDIDUALLY, call them and they will know His voice and will SUBMIT in obedience to His call and His will. It is not your choice or your will, because that would be "works" and you cannot be saved by "works". Submitting to a greater power is not your choice or will. It it's God's will and His choice. This is very clear in the Bible. If you are taught otherwise, then you are being taught a false doctrine.

If, as Scripture says, God desires for all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, does God ultimately get what He desires? If not, why not?

God knows in advance, who will accept his free gift of salvation. However, he does not choose for us. Why would God create people to be robot that he could manipulate them to accept him or reject him? It’s perfectly obvious that God gave man free will to choose. Otherwise, why send Jesus to die on the cross for our sins? Calvinism is a man made theory that goes against God‘s word. Armenianism Is also a man-made theory. Who is man that he thinks he knows more than God. I Corinthians 8:2-3 Also: “The wisdom of the Wise is foolishness to the Lord” I Cor. 3-19 God‘s word is complete…….. II Timothy 3:16-17 “Who so ever will……John 3:16 Enough said!!!

Is it possible that God can call you at the last minute, but not chosen to be a light of forgiveness power to the World?, to be saved from Hell, but not to be chosen to be a light TO THE WORLD? If God is sovereign, AND HE IS, then why are True believers called to evangelise, when all the saved are already chosen before they are born? Please would you clarify 1 Tim 2v4, & 1 Jn.2v2, & WHOSOEVER, in Jn.3v16.. If THE TRUTH, is by revelation from God, how can that speak against those verses that appear to be AS IT IS WRITTEN.

I'm no Calvinist but I agree that He chooses whom He wills. This doesn't mean He hand-picked people for destruction. It's pretty much an ipso facto, as a result of. The result of man's rejection of God they are then fitted to destruction. Laws aren't given to make every man guilty or to go and break laws before they do any wrong but are there to correct a man that breaks the law, and the righteousness of the law gives out justice.

Charles Simeon’s (Calvinist) conversation with John Wesley (Arminian) It is instructive in this connection to ponder Charles Simeon’s account of his conversation with John Wesley on December 10, 1784 (the date is given in Wesley’s journal): Charles Simeon: “Sir, I understand that you are called an Arminian; and I have been sometimes called a Calvinist; and therefore I suppose we are to draw daggers. But before I consent to begin the combat, with your permission I will ask you a few questions.… Pray, Sir, do you feel yourself a depraved creature, so depraved that you would never have thought of turning to God, if God had not first put it into your heart?” John Wesley: “Yes,” says the veteran, “I do indeed.” Charles Simeon: “And do you utterly despair of recommending yourself to God by anything you can do; and look for salvation solely through the blood and righteousness of Christ?” John Wesley: “Yes, solely through Christ.” Charles Simeon: “But, Sir, supposing you were at first saved by Christ, are you not somehow or other to save yourself afterwards by your own works?” John Wesley: “No, I must be saved by Christ from first to last.” Charles Simeon: “Allowing, then, that you were first turned by the grace of God, are you not in some way or other to keep yourself by your own power?” John Wesley: “No.” Charles Simeon: “What, then, are you to be upheld every hour and every moment by God, as much as an infant in its mother’s arms?” John Wesley: “Yes, altogether.” Charles Simeon: “And is all your hope in the grace and mercy of God to preserve you unto his heavenly kingdom?” John Wesley: “Yes, I have no hope but in him.” Charles Simeon: “Then, Sir, with your leave I will put up my dagger again; for this is all my Calvinism; this is my election, my justification by faith, my final perseverance: it is in substance all that I hold, and as I hold it; and therefore, if you please, instead of searching out terms and phrases to be a ground of contention between us, we will cordially unite in those things wherein we agree.

@GraceBaptistNokomis yes that's true but he always leaves us to make it. I can't tell you how many times that I should have died but didn't I believe now that God was protecting me so that he could lead me to salvation like he did about 2 yrs ago. I was out working in my car when I heard a audible voice say that I would see my dad again. I stopped in the road and looked around me to see who had just spoken. That got me to thinking of things. First I got a bible and started to read. Then one day I was having a really bad day and the weight of the world was crushing me. That night when I was ready to break I dropped to my knees and prayed to Christ to come change me. Since then I have done things I never thought I would. I quit smoking after nearly 30yrs over nite. I also truely have inner peace where i used to feel like a storm was raging inside of me is now calm. I used to worry and have my burdens drag me down but since that day i dont have worries or burdens cause i have laid all that on Jesus and his yok is lite and easy. I have slowly lost all the anger that would control me. I once cussed like a sailor but very seldom now. So I know that he doesn't give up on us I am proof of that. For I was a sinner worthy of death and deserving of death for my sins. Then I found life through the truth and way of Christ to a relationship with the father

It is true that not all will be saved by God. God will saved only His few elect.. If God will save all people why are there very few that are saved.. Jesus Himself said that few will be save.. Don't give me a reason because they will not believe.. Is man's will stronger than God's will? If God wills you to be saved, Can your will not to be saved, stronger than God's will to save you? Those people that cannot be saved are children of the devil.. Example of them can be found in John 8:44 where Jesus said : YOU belong to your FATHER the DEVIL, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
