@@antoinegresham the hotel is less than 10 mins from the port just depending on how long you have to wait at lights or in traffic . Your hotel invoice should say the name either Hampton or home2 but the side wont matter because there is only one entrance and one front desk area and they will just assign you the right room on the right floor . You won’t have to say you’re on this side or that , the front desk will handle it . And you can eat on both sides for breakfast, and you should eat on both sides because there are different foods on both sides for breakfast.

@@BM-rd3lq I actually don’t remember hearing too much noise from above , but I did hear some noises throughout the night from other areas I think . It wasn’t terrible .

Well, it is cold sometimes but then it gets warm when people crowd in the venues . Overall, I would say it was comfortable on the ship as far as temperature . I would get cold and hot . But the hvac in the rooms got super cold and that was nice . The rooms warmed quickly too if you needed the heat on.

@ ok thanks for your reply. I’m still trying to finalize packing my outfits and trying to consider the weather. I don’t know if I should pack clothes for Spring or Winter. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I would definitely do a blend of both. The islands will still be humid and warm.

@@PrayShopCruise-fl3po It's tough to answer that question because the business model now for cruising is up-charging. I really think as much as I like Celebrity up to the Solstice class, the Edge shows where they want to go. The Retreat gives access to prime real estate on the ship for suite passengers only. So, I think at some point the idea is to make 3/4 of the ship some sort of pseudo "suite" where you pay more for perks you don't really want, but you gain access to parts of the ship you want to go in. Then 1/4 of the ship will likely be entry level when there are general areas you can access. They're headed for that type of class system in ships. Maybe I'm exaggerating. I sure hope so. I like Princess, Celebrity and HAL and in some respects Cunard because I use to sail with my ex-wife for the social music/drink a bit and lounge and dance some scene. But I mean couples romantic dancing, salsa, swing, ballroom, slow dancing type of dancing. Food was fine for dining and an occasional specialty dining space was fine. But the primary thing was the lounging and music from combos combined with the quieter spots on the ship and we too liked the deck space at night. HAL seems to have retained more that feel than Celebrity and Princess may be somewhere in the middle. Right now, it's HAL or the Solstice Celebrity ships for me and maybe Cunard. But for those that cruise for food, shows, drinking and some group type of partying things like silent discos, none of what I like matters. But I am concerned about the class system on the Edge ships that they pretty much got from NCL with their "Haven." Celebrity is good. The Beyond could use a pub and definitely could use two more lounges and a library and card spaces. But the deck spaces are excellent and the contemporary decor is well received by people who aren't like me that find it just "trendy." It's fine. They just need to deliver the food, service and the right entertainers.

@ I agree the beyond could use a pub. I’m excited to try princess one day and HAL, and Norwegian , but I’m concerned about the food on all of those ships because I’ve heard so many mixed reviews .

I actually cannot answer this question because I still have not been to Izumi on any royal ship even though I cruise royal often lol. Usually , the restaurants will stay in line with each other depending on the class of the ship, but wonder is a bigger , beefier class , so idk if radiance will have the same thing at its Izumi. Great question ! Let me know what you find out when you go !

To make reservations for the shows you actually have to be onboard the ship and connected to the ships WiFi to use the royal Caribbean app and make the reservations. You don’t have to purchase upgraded WiFi to use the royal app, so that’s the good thing , you just have to actually be on the ship to use the app to make reservations for the shows. You can’t make reservations for the shows without being on the ship, but you can reserve all the other stuff before you board (like specialty dining) . My top two recommendations to reserve the first day are the aqua dome show and the ice skating show . Do those ASAP, and you won’t regret it! Those are shows you won’t see anywhere else at sea unless you are with Royal Caribbean. On the app, there is an events section and an entertainment section I believe , you can use either of those sections to click on the event and make reservations for yourself and who ever else is connected to your reservation. I reserved shows for me and my parents because I had their reservation connected with mine . This is such a good question, that I really should do a separate video for .

Oh, and if you don’t want to use the app to make reservations, you can go to guest services and they will help you make all your reset reservations.

@PrayShopCruise-fl3po I love it! The rooms were spacious, and the staff was warm, friendly, and made me feel like I was their #1 priority. They were constantly cleaning, picking up towels, and wiping the buffet area. Thry provided beach towels for the excursions. The food was delicious. I can go on and on. Other than the expensive wifi cost 10 out of 10. We received a free Effy necklace, and each day, a free charm from the Effy store to go inside.

@@Melissacraftingcreations Reflection, a Solstice class ship, and Beyond, an Edge class ship, are really different. Although they are both Celebrity ships and the spaces are called the same thing, they just feel very different. I think t's good for people to try both classes to see the more established approach Celebrity of the Solstice class vs. the different direction they went in with the Beyond. The food and service style and even juggling bartenders are similar, and all Celebrity ships have art on them you'll notice and talk about, but spaces are different. There's no Eden on Solstice or Club but there's no Sky Lounge, Hideaway or Ensemble Lounge on Edge. And Edge has shows in Eden and the Club where that doesn't really happen on Solstice.

@@BJones-dg6nj I used valet parking . I forgot how much it was per night but it wasn’t bad at the time I went. Maybe $10 / night at that time but it’s probably more . I can’t remember. The parking garage is across the street and down the street somewhere from the hotel I think. Not too far , but not something I wanted to do myself .

@@Christine-ft4gx hey! Thanks for watching . This is a great question. I actually didn’t have any of my clothes steamed . My mother used the steaming service and absolutely loved it . The prices were fairly inexpensive, like maybe $7-10 a piece depending on what it was and turnaround service was quick. We highly recommend the service and she’s now saying she will use it on every cruise . I personally mainly pack material that does not wrinkle if I can . I did learn a cool trick though! When I wore a wrinkled cover up outside in the extreme wind , the wind knocked out all the wrinkles as if it had been pressed . Airing your clothes out could be the way to go , or using the blow dryer , or carrying wrinkle spray , but the wrinkle spray never works for me . Ppl also hang their clothes up to steam near a hot shower .
