I think it took about 20 years of listening to embed the solo in my head! Once you get to that stage it's half the battle since you know how it goes so well that learning it is a bit easier... although it still took several hours of slowing everything down, watching live versions, etc. to get it comfortable with it

@@garrystephen definitely my favourite guitar solo to play! I think JS had a lot of influence of JP but I always find that some parts of that solo are untabable because those fast “squire runs” he most likely was just adding extra to he solo I can’t really find anything on tabs close to it but you’ve got it down really good!

There's definitely some Jimmy in there. I think the Roses Breaking Into Heaven has some good examples of those fast runs as well... love the Second Coming album!

It is a great sound! I hadn't even really noticed the modulation effect on the guitar until I went to learn it but it's an essential part of the sound. I'll need to get my recording setup ready again but will bear the request in mind 😊

Hey Mike! I honestly can't remember the specifics but the base tones would have been from my Atomic AmpliFire, probably Plexi and Friedman models, maybe with some fuzz on the main guitar? Cocked-Wah in the intro would have been from the AmpliFire as well. Sorry I can't remember anything else, but this was before I started adding details to the video descriptions 😬

I'm honestly not sure of the actual gear he used, I just tried to get as close as I could with the guitars I've got 😊

Good choice, How Do You Sleep has long been a favourite so definitely worth consideration! Not sure on the tutorial side of things, but I may do in future and will give you a shout if so 😊

@@garrystephen You can see Rich using a capo in the video and in live versions. But props to you 'cause you probably learned the song by ear and not from youtube lessons or watching video's of Rich playing the song. Proper old skool 🤘
