Hello, what am i gonna do if there’s still a remaining time and i am done speaking? Do i let the time passed or should i speak again?
This test does not include writing, only speaking?
There are 4 main types of Versant test: 1. Versant Speaking Test (Speaking) (around 20 minutes) 2. Versant Professional English Test (Speaking, listening, reading and writing) (around 60 minutes) 3. Versant Writing Test (Writing) (around 35 minutes) 4. Versant English Placement Test (Speaking, listening, reading, and writing) (around 50 minutes) This video is based on number 1 (Versant Speaking Test). If possible, I recommend checking which test you will be taking in advance because each test has different sections. Good luck for your test, and please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hard 🥲
It is, but practice will make it easier. You can do it!
Thanks so much for the prep exams. It really help me a lot! Just finished mine a couple of hours!
Thanks a lot for helping us!!! I passed it.
That's awesome - congratulations!
Great job 👍👍👌👌 super video
The real test has worse audio quality. It becomes a disaster for me. If they speak the way you speak, it would be very helpful.
Absolutely. Someone else said that it sounds like the people in the real test are "from another dimension". It's so true!
excellent, I love it
I'm glad to hear that! Good luck for your test, and please let me know if you have any questions
It’s very helpful thanks
You're welcome! Good luck for your test, and please let me know if you have any questions
This is the hardest part for me
A lot of people say this is the hardest part. Which is most difficult for you: listening to the story, or retelling it?
@English_Coach_Mark retelling the story with different way is not easy to me. I should remember the story line and express it in my own words. While I was arranging my words, I lost my points of the previous story line.
That makes sense. It's difficult to remember everything and think about how to express it in English at the same time. Here are some things you can do to make this section a little easier: Focus on the basic information. 1. The person's name 2. Their action (what did they do?) 3. The ending When giving your answer, divide your answer into three parts. 1. Introduction 2. Body 3. Conclusion For each part, there are fixed phrases you can use. For example: 1. Introduction - "The story was about (a man trying a new hobby)" 2. Body - "First (he tried reading), then (he went skiing), and finally (he tried rock climbing)" 3. Conclusion - "In the end, (he decided that rock climbing was the most fun.)" Remembering these fixed phrases makes it easier to structure your answer, meaning that you can focus on remembering the details from the story. I hope that helps! Good luck with your practice, and please let me know if you have any questions.
I need it
Are you doing any shadowing practice? It can be very helpful when working on pronunciation.
Thanks for your explain
You're welcome. Please let me know if you have any questions
thank you...Amazing💌
Glad to help! Good luck for your test
Wonderful 👍👍👍
Your descriptions were very helpful!!
Thanks! Please let me know if you have any questions
Thank you! Amazing
Happy to help! Good luck with your test!
@@English_Coach_Mark I think I nailed it but your tests were the secret ingredient. I'd been lost without them. Thanks again!
Bro first improve your pronunciation. Even laptop is unable sometimes.
Which parts are unclear?
Jesus loves you :)
Amen
I really appreciate it, more of this
Happy to help! Good luck for your test
I need help?
Which part of the test would you like help with?
Can i have your number please i need help on this exam.
Sorry, I don't have a phone number, but I'll be happy to help you if I can. What kind of help do you need?
If someone fails the test, if he takes it again will the questions be the same or will the questions change every time?
The questions will be different every time. However, the questions will follow the same format. That's why it's a good idea to do as many practice exercises as possible. Being familiar with the flow of the test can be a big help.
should you be speaking until the time end, even you repeat the words
@@mayzie9743 Not if you have already finished your answer. You can add additional information to your answer if you have spare time, but make sure it is relevant. If you add irrelevant details or repeat yourself unnecessarily it may negatively affect your score.
Is the test the same in the hole UK ?
If your test is only for speaking and listening, it will be like this. However, some Versant tests also focus on writing, and have different sections. There are 5 main types of Versant test (this video is an example of number 1): 1. Versant Speaking Test (around 20 Minutes) reading repeat questions sentence builds story retelling open questions 2. Versant Professional English Test (around 60 minutes) sentence completion passage reconstruction reading comprehension E-mail writing dictation response selection passage comprehension repeat speaking situation story retelling 3. Versant Writing Test (around 35 minutes) Typing Sentence completion Dictation passage reconstruction E-mail writing 4. Versant English Placement Test (around 50 minutes) read aloud repeat sentence builds conversations typing sentence completion dictation passage reconstruction summary & opinion 5. Versant 4 skills test (Approx 30 minutes) Repeat Sentence builds Conversations Sentence completion Dictation Passage reconstruction I recommend checking which test you will be taking in advance, to help you prepare most effectively. Good luck for your test!
Excelente gracias
3 times I've rejected in versant round
Which part is most difficult for you?
In the repeat section, I've been watching your videos to improve my versant, share more tips to versant
@abhisheksen5754 I recommend doing more shadowing to improve your score in the repeat section. Search "Shadowing American accent" on TH-cam. You will find videos to use for practice. Good luck for your next test!
@@English_Coach_Mark okay thank you sir
thankyou
thank you for the informative video your teaching is very easy to learn story retelling👍
i´d love these type of sentences in my versant test but sadly those sound like people from another dimension
Haha this is a very accurate comment
What do you mean with that? That It is too easy?
😞
Perfect!
I couldn't catch "berries growing nearby"…😞
That's OK - it's not a very common phrase. Were you able to catch it after seeing the subtitles?
@@English_Coach_Mark Yes. I understood when I saw the subtitles.
I got everything you said.Fun!!
I subscribed! 😊 Feb. 7, 2024 Wednesday Davao City, Philippines ❤️
👍👍👍
I got all of the example questions correct, but I don't understand why? Lol
This would also be true for 99% of native English speakers. It's weird - adjective order is something we know, but we don't know we know it.
Why is it that the word "rectangular" is "opinion" and "round" is not?
In this example, "rectangular" describes the shape of the door.
I’m teaching my son eiken 3 and that really helped. We have been reading the whole thing then trying to answer until now. I’ll try this technique tomorrow.
That's great to hear - I hope it helps your son. Good luck with the teaching!
Thanks much. You are doing a big job
Thanks❤️
Hi can you please make a video how to apply versant pt exam im searching in Google but i couldn't find a link i want an VEPT test thanks in advance.
Thanks for your question. The first step to apply is to contact the Pearson customer services team at the following link: help.english.com/contact_support.htm When you contact them, tell them which test you would like to apply for, and the country you are in. They will provide you with instructions about what to do next. I hope that helps. Good luck with your test!
Where are you from? Your accent is awesome!
Wow - thanks haha I'm from England. How about you?

Thank you sir
Very helpful❤
I'm glad it helped! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Awesome!
Thanks!
Hey I am from India I have been applied in a hcl tech Versant test and my English speaking is very bad please suggest me what can I do ?
Hi Hemant, thanks for your question. "Shadowing" is a good place to start. Shadowing is where we listen to a sentence, and then repeat it. When we repeat it, we try to copy the speed and pronunciation as closely as possible. This is a great way to start improving your speaking skills. Here's a video with some example exercises to show you how it works: th-cam.com/video/64IX-VSOhrY/w-d-xo.html
