Davey is plainly one of the best electric guitarists in the instrument's history. His passing should be mourned like that of Jimi Hendrix, Django Reinhardt, and Edward Van Halen. Davey's devotion to surrealism kept him fenced out of that level of fame. It makes him all the more admirable because he chose to stay on this side of that fence, here, with all of us weirdos. And the whole universe is richer for this choice.

I have noticed that when he forgoes the Gibson ES-355 Hollowbody in favor of the Fender Spec. Ed. Custom Telecaster, the performance distinctly has a more "present", bright sound and is missing that airy, empty refrigerator box sort of dark resonance to his tapping technique. Not that I'm complaining or criticizing either way, but I would love to know what compels him on his choice of particular guitar.

He is the best Sitarist of our times! I have been listening him for long. Meditative and haunting. The Sadhana is supreme. It's difficult to express in few words. Young Table player Amit, also deserves special mention - it's clear that he is under the right tutelage and shows a huge promise. His tonal production is clear but mechanical. Both has touched the heart !!
