Hey there! I’m sure they try to accept a good variety of different ages so it’s not a majority of the same age/grade level, but generally they accept whoever is fit for the program. So don’t feel as though you won’t get accepted because you’re younger. When I was both a dreamer and a champion, there was a great mixture of every age. Best of luck!

Hey there! :) So a dreamer is someone who applies and is chosen to attend the program to participate in all of the sessions, deep dives and activities. A champion is an alum who already attended the program previously and is chosen to return as a mentor to the new dreamers and serve as an ambassador for the academy. For example, I was a dreamer in 2013 and then I went back to serve as a mentor for the class of 2016. Hope that was helpful and thanks for watching!

Hey, I know that this comment was made a long time ago, but I’m apart of the 2019 class. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions: What was your favorite experience? What surprised you the most? What is something that you wish that you could’ve done? Thank you SO much!

Hey girl! Aww, I'm glad you could relive it! It was amazing being there with all of you!

Hey there! I am so happy that you'll be applying! 1. The application usually consists of 3 essay questions averaging about 450-500 words in total. It is completed online and the application will usually open in the spring for the following year (so class of 2018 applications will probably open in the spring of this year, 2017. You can follow the Academy's social media pages to stay updated.) 2. The judges really look for you to be authentic. Not every dreamer has a 4.0 G.P.A, is involved in immense extracurriculars and plans to attend an ivy league school. Some of the most game changing dreamers (at the Academy and just in life in general) have com from tremendous struggle and obstacles that they have triumphantly overcome so do not feel afraid to share your REAL and RAW story about who you really are. The judges also look for someone who is truly passionate about their dream. The Academy is all about giving you the tools needed to attack your dreams head on with confidence and zeal, so tell them why you gained your dreams, why they keep you up at night and how much the impact they will make on others keeps you inspired to pursue them.
