True💯💯💯💯💯.
who knows, maybe we'll be hearing a less broken accent! Or you know, stop muting and start working on it.
Or you could stop trolling TH-cam comments with your crap.
Mommy
It's actually a very important question, my math teacher used to say we need to write things down to connect the brain and hands together, instead of just staring blankly the black board, that's so true! Nothing is more important than putting things into practice. Even when it comes to deal with very complicated maths problems, a visual explanation is enough to make things more clear 😊
You've got a great teacher! There were moments where I wanted to 'cheat' and didn't push myself hard in trying to understand things, it always came back later 😂 and I need to study that topic again. So I feel in this sense, building physical strength and mental strength are not different: hard work.
@YimuHappy he was a kind of very cynical teacher, typically the kind of teacher you got at French preparatory school 🤣 but still, his advices are still useful to me now... Yes I experienced this "mettre la poussière sous le tapis" to not understand one part and cheat yourself that it's not a big deal. I found that the best way to learn is to divide knowledge into small parts and analyse carefully each parts, complexity is nothing less than simplicity in disguise isn't it? It takes time, but when you understand every aspect of a subject, you could really master it. When I studied electromagnetism and quantum physics, I constantly had to come back to the basics to be able to really understand what is going on 😉
@@mathieutissandier8546 I love your 'complexity is simplicity in disguise '
@@YimuHappy thank you! I think it's the best attitude when it comes to learn and practice 💪
How do you get that wrong
@GodlyTerrarian people got it wrong by doing multiplication first followed by division
❤
To my mind, chaos is what translates theory into practice, to solve a math problem as complex as it is (from a simple two part integration to the N=NP problem) does have an answer that you could be solved by observing one or several aspects of the problem. But when it comes to the reality, all the parameters are interacting with each other's which which make it impossible to find an analytical solution, it becomes a matter of 讨价还价 😅 with each aspect of reality, neglect this parameter, give importance to another one... It wouldn't be great to have one equation to solve all the problems from the atoms to the black holes... This is in chaos that lies the beauty and the infinite complexity of this world... And also all the troubles 😂 it's good to see you back on TH-cam 😊
Good to hear from u again Matthieus! Completely agree with your thoughts about the world. Although complaining a lot of the recent issues, the 'chaotic' world is what makes it mysterious and exciting to live everyday.
Real life is pretty hard!

Wow! Great tutorial. I loved the samples combining strokes within boxes to demonstrate the importance of the relationships between them. I hope I can find that book in the US.
Hi yimu! What kind of brush should I use for more quick curvy characters that have a dry look?
I think mixed hair or wolf hair would be good for it.
Cao Pi vs Cao Zhi
律 & 呂 sound very different in southern Chinese dialects like Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew and/or Hakka
I like your way of teaching writing and the writing stroke
I used 5 fingers to hold the feathers pen that's the most common holding method of China.
Hi YIMU , can you adise what are the brands of brushes and type of hair you are using and which company did you buy them from Amazon? I want to buy exactly those that you use. Thank you very much.
I bought it here www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0728L766H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (also in the video's description)
Wiki: This example is often used as an argument against the romanization of Chinese. In fact, the text was an argument against the romanization of Classical Chinese: Chao was actually a proponent for the romanization of written vernacular Chinese.
Thank you so much for the recommendations! Wolf hair brush is too stiff for me 😅
As a Japanese, that's way different than the way I was educated with. But then I discovered that there are many holding forms, so it's each to their own
This was so cool, thank you for explaining
Even current president is shi
His last name's pinin is 'xi', its pronunciation is similar to 'shi' but not exactly the same
Why there are so many homonyms in chinese languages? I don't get it, just change 'i' to some other vowel in 'shi' homonyms or add some consonant. This tones in chinese languages makes them incredibly hard to learn😊
@@Sp1tfire100 yeah I know😂
@@Sp1tfire100 because mandarin speakers speak "lazy"
Imagine how it would sound in Cantonese (which has *more* tones)
Very informative! A delightful story, thank you for sharing
This one is great, I love the idiom, and the calligraphy is inspiring!! But especially the choice of idiom, feels so relatable.

Many years ago, I watched the movie 英雄, and I was truly captivated. Throughout the movie, they compare calligraphy to sword technique. It's truly beautiful.很漂亮
I have decided to start in my calligraphy journey. I acquired 3/4 treasures (missing the stone), but I'm eager to start! Do you recommend I start practicing on regular paper, and when I'm better, to use the special paper? And how much water should I add to the ink?

Zhao YuanRen “shī shì shíshī shǐ” shíshì shī shì shī shì, shì shī, shì shíshí shī, shì shí shíshìshì shì shī. Shí shí, shì shí shī shì shì. Shì shíshì shī shì shì shì. Shì shì shí shī shì shǐ shì, shǐ shí shī shì shì. Shì shíshì shí shī shī, shì shíshì. Shí shì shī, shì shǐ shì shì shí shì. Shí shì shì, shì shǐ shì shí shì shí shī shī. Shí shí shǐ shí shí shī shī, shí shí shí shī shī. Shì shì shì shì

Thank you for doing this. I didn't realise that the li shui referred to was the Lijiang that I've been to. I'd love it if you could keep going with the 千字文.
Hiya! Why do you use the outer ring and not the inner ring?
chinese words are so hard to underdtand and harder to write it one needs to be artist to write it atlease it would take me ages to write those words correctly or more probably i should say draw it exactly
Definitely needs lots of practice to remember how to write. That's why lots of people know how to speak Chinese, but don't know how to write. But hey each handwriting is unique and there's no 'wrong' way of doing it. Enjoy the exploring process!
