There are things I prefer about 3 -- you don't have to have a ministry to issue your edicts, buildings you like don't ever expire, and it certainly looks a lot better than what came before. But I still prefer 4 over 3 -- time actually passes (like in real life). The maps are generally larger, you get tasks to do while you wait for time to pass on the island. The NPC models and animation are the same as 3, but they have more variety in the colors of the clothing. I think it's mostly personal preference...

This is Tropico 3 with the Absolute Power DLC -- Steam edition.

I still play this and Tropico 3 a lot. I have 1 through 5, but I haven't found any easily implemented way of getting Direct X 7 to work on Windows 10, and Tropico 1 really could use it. As it is, you have to run in software rendering (which is no trouble for a Ryzen 5600x) so it doesn't look as good. Tropico 2 doesn't really fit in with the rest of the games, and Tropico 5 is even more micromanaging than 4 -- although I will probably still try a series on it in the future...

@@AdmiralSpaceballs I don't play 6 because I have yet to buy it -- maybe if it goes on sale. As for Fallout, I have around a thousand videos featuring Fallout 4 and Fallout Shelter, so I've already been there/done that. As far as attention goes - I don't need, or really want internet attention -- BUT -- since TH-cam won't even think about sharing money with you until you have 1000 subscribers, I drone on about liking, sharing, and subscribing. Me and the wife are retired, so I spend a portion of my day playing games - it's not a big deal to capture the video and my ramblings as I play. And Tropico doesn't require much editing to do - just shuffling around the safe music I use to replace the almost entirely copyright claimed game music. I play sandbox in Tropico because it's what I enjoy, and I can keep the episode length short enough for modern attention spans.

You are correct. I should probably rename these, as the next series I'm going to do will be from Tropico 3 (and then maybe the original -- but 2 is a bit too involved)...

Yeah, I know. I'm trying to get the balance better, while trying new ways to record my voiceovers. New equipment means more money, and TH-cam isn't offering me anything yet...

This always struck me as the kind of game you play when you have a few minutes to kill - but if you had the extra time, you could do a quest. Actually sounds ideal for a mobile platform - but it is easier to deal with on the PC...

It has the advantage of being something you an play when you have a spare few minutes.

Sometimes when I have a crash (or I do something dumb) I will edit the footage out of the main video I post, and put it in an "extra" video - like this one...

@@youtubersdigest I've been trying to keep the video length under better control -- some of the early ones could get quite long. Doing these extra videos help with that.

You should look for some of the Korean dramas available on various streaming services. They haven't forgotten how to do the romance/rom-com stories right.

I learned there is a mod that let's you bring Arlen back to the Slog, and make him a special settler who will make Giddyup Buttercups as long as you keep bringing him parts. I may look into it...

It'd be nice to make a little cash from all this work, but so far the only thing I've received is a penny from Rumble, and I'm sure they won't bother with such small change. Watch with the transcript going - the wonderfully wacky way it interprets what I said is good for another chuckle or 2.

Oddly enough, this is one of the few videos that TH-cam hasn't made a transcript for -- perhaps because it's copyrighted material...

@@littlewillie65 it should include closed captions with copyright under Ada laws that been passed long ago in 1980s or before that I think someone forget to turn closed captions or subtitles on before uploading this video

@@littlewillie65 There is one house that is a bit glitched because of the roof. Simply put a power connector near it and you can eventually snake it in. But other than that one they are all really easy to connect. And it makes a huge difference, especially at night. Radiated power then runs through the entire structure, and all of the lights then work. This is by far my favorite mod in the entire game.

I have no idea how TH-cam thinks - I'm just surprised to find it it's actually recommending my videos to anyone (I guess not being political helps). If I had to guess, you've looked for videos on Marie Curie or plane wrecks. The tags on the video are Fallout 4, playthrough. and settlement building - so you would have a better idea why TH-cam recommended this than I would. I'm guessing you didn't appreciate the video - my apologies for that.

It's the regular Fallout Shelter that's a freebie on Steam, the IOs App Store, and Google Play - so it's available pretty much everywhere.

I know, but what do you expect for a 14 year old video made with a 20 year old game with the minimum system requirements of an 800Mhz P3 processor with a Direct X 9.0c video card with at least 32 MEGABYTES of memory. The fact that I was able to get it to do this much was a miracle. It has very little accommodations for dialog (which I made with the old AT&T text to speech online website), and you only get a set number of animations (hence all the head bobbling) and camera moves. But hey - I got it at Big Lots for a whole $4 bucks (probably 18 years ago)...

Since I'm 853 subscribers away from even being considered for monetization, I'm not counting on a lot of TH-cam money....

I've watched a lot of different Fallout 4 youtubers, and almost all of them do separate videos to talk about mods. Usually you're too busy playing the game to get into the mods during a game play video. I added 4 videos in the end screen with links to the three I mentioned above, and one featuring the Fairline Hills mod...

I've played no mods long enough to get 85 of the 94 (?) achievements. I started using mods for the same reason most people do - to add things to the game I find useful and/or entertaining (except for the Diamond City Radio replacer, which replaces the music with versions that TH-cam won't flag for copyright claims -- which is vitally important for a TH-camr)...

At first I thought you were talking about Mama Murphy's house, then I remembered the log cabin and log A frame back farther in. Those are the result of 2 mods: Sim Settlements (the original version) and the Home Improvements AIO add-on for Sim Settlements. They both are on the Nexus, and both claim to have XBoxOne versions available ( suppose they're available from Bethesda as well, though I haven't looked there for them).

I'm also posting a new video with the mod and creation list as of now...

Perhaps they were doing that out of deference to the human at the wedding -- if you're looking for an in-universe explanation...

Provided your vanilla Fallout 4 includes the Far Harbor mod - yes. It's actually part of the storyline for Far Harbor. When we visit there later, she will be downstairs (I think) and you can talk to her. DiMA isn't really a big fan of the railroad - he doesn't approve of them wiping memories and changing the appearance of escaped synths (although he does it when it suits his purposes)...

Go back to some of the older videos - we've already cleared the fish packing plant. You're right though, there's a lot aluminum there - it's one of the videos with Danse, if I remember correctly...

As for the level-up -- I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I usually try to keep one point in reserve, just in case something comes up where an extra point somewhere could help out.

I know, I know -- I should have done a hard save after finishing the dance, but I messed up. And I still haven't figured out when the game autosaves after using the pip-boy - it seems pretty random sometimes.

The actual dance is coming up Wednesday, so you can look forward to that - and I also used the Fat Man on the queen (Kind of wished I'd gotten the Big Boy from Arturo before doing this, but it's done now). Thanks for the compliment on the narration - there's a reason why I do it after the fact, so my initial comments don't make it on the broadcast. Like the other guys you've seen, I too can get a little "dramatic" - so I comment on the video after the fact so I can do it with a little more restraint. And I certainly appreciate the views - I'm glad you enjoy them.
