Auto Suck - Barnes & Barnes
มุมมอง 351ปีที่แล้ว
A song that was never played on Dr Demento but I would not have known about Barnes & Barnes if it wasn't for the good doctor. So here is a little video I made at least 15 years ago maybe more. Its the unofficial Auto Suck video! The quality is a little lacking due to the age of the footage, but enjoy!

Hard one to find..Thank you
I remember the original 4-hour (!) live broadcast on KMET Los Angeles on Sunday nights. The final hour was devoted to the Top 10, and often during the show Dr. Demento would have a theme segment. Once it was horse racing. Another time it was an homage to the red-line railroad system in pre-WWII Los Angeles. It was a lot more than novelty songs. It was like attending music appreciation class every week.
94.7 the mighty met
Fantastic to have been young and hear this. Thanks for the memories
Used to listen to this broadcast on a transistor radio with a mono earplug. 😊 Good times!
I love hearing Dr. Demento. Brings back good memories. Thanks for uploading this, and Merry Christmas
And it aired when it was 7 months old prior to the airdate, and my mom was 27 on the day it aired.
Thunder doesn’t flash
I've been wondering what this one sounded like. Thanks for posting!
I heard a funny song on his show in the 80s, somewhere around 1986 - I think it was called “blind date.” The song started from the perspective of a man picking up his blind date. He was unimpressed with her appearance as she was with his hygiene. The lyrics went “I might as well take you, you’re all I can get”
If anyone knows where to find it, id appreciate a link :) thanks!
My guess would be Wayne Faust - Blind Date which is right here on TH-cam th-cam.com/video/9oI96McIysc/w-d-xo.html

Long live the good Doctor!! This brings back memories of high school and a transistor radio under my pillow. That was when radio had not yet been taken over by the corporate right-wing talk shows.
Awesome song, I can relate!
Love this song!
❤ I tried to give the good doctor a tape that he said it was too demented for radio
Let me hear a couple good hearty hee haws.
I Love Steve Martin !
They are great. She Makes Me Feel Big is a very funny song too.
This is wonderful. Just discovered you. My new hubby and I didn't miss this-- Sundays I think it was. KMET Radio. We actually LIVED under the smogberry trees in California then. My cassettes are still alive (I think) down in the dungeon. How crazy these times were, and how we loved them. Good times.
Wow, been searching for this song ever since I heard it on the Demento show in the late 80s. Thanks 😂
My National Anthem
You don't know how long I've been searching for something like this; I finally have a clean copy of the crowd yelling "The Doctor Is In!"!
Sunday nights at 10:00pm, 100.7 WRKR Racine/Milwaukee, WI... LOTS of memories flooding back on this... damn
The first time I heard this, I thought it was the great song ever! Thank you Bo Robert’s.
No anchovies please
My fave The Fools song is, "Spent the Rent", but this is pretty good, too!
Yup.😢😂❤
WLUP. Dr Demento, King Biscuit Hr....older Genx here.
I was just 12 years old and I remember this stuff very well.
When I feel down in the dumps, this song makes me smile. 🙂🙃
It aged well.
You got the tape fed through wrong on that machine. The tape flips when it rolls off the first reel
I probably heard this live as a kid. Great memories all coming back, even the commercials. Thanks!
the doctor should have a star on the walk of fame
Saw him in person in Cleveland it was CRAZY!
Thes guys know how to write great songs. Unique and extremely original complex songwriters. The flip side of this 45:rpm "Crash Boom Bang" is also a killer song. My band used to open for them a lot in the late 70's. They always put on a crazy show and they write amazing and hilarious songs. They are also top-notch musicians. Check out some more of their stuff. "Last Cadillac on Earth" "Psycho Chicken" " That's it! Go Home" "A Night for Beautiful Girls" 🎧
This song is my life story!!!!!
I love Krypton's stuff. It's so sad he quit music
awesome song. can totally relate
Me too!
Good job, Krypton.
58:49 - I keep coming back for "I met a man" by Eds Redeeming Qualities... I Really enjoy this version.
